Revo Ikon review

The Revo Ikon is an iPod docking station with a built-in digital radio tuner, as well as built-in networking connections that allow you to receive internet radio and stream music from your computers.

The Revo Ikon is more than just an iPod dock: it's also a digital radio, analogue radio and network music streamer. However, it's overpriced and it doesn't excel at any particular function. We also wish it had a better build quality.

Review: Revo Ikon

This iPod dock provides hours of audio entertainment without an iPod. Paradox aside, this speaker dock packs a different kind of punch under the hood.

iPhone-compatible; DAB radio; touchscreen; Wi-Fi and Ethernet; good network features; network-streaming audio support

High-priced; dock feels cheap; overly sensitive to streaming software on network

Despite the high price, the Ikon is a unique niche product that performs well with its network features, that is if you need a network-capable dock.

Revo Ikon

The Revo Ikon is more than just a digital radio: it can play music from your iPod, receive Internet radio, and even acts as a remote streaming device for your music. The question is: Are you willing to spend a fair bit for it?

It is a digital radio, Internet radio, Audio streaming device, and iPod dock; Touchscreen easy to use; Clean interface

Remote does not have the ability to fully control the iPod; Some issues with the virtual keyboard when inputting wireless password; Price may put off some users; Distortions at high volumes

Revo Ikon DAB WiFi Touch Screen Radio and Docking Station

A rather unique and peculiar looking case, which is protective and particularly useful for the unfortunate iPad floor drop.

It supports both the iPhone and the iPod as well as being jam packed with numerous features including the ability to wirelessly stream music from your computer

It is expensive

Amazing functionality, superbly entertaining sound and sleek and sophisticated technology certainly make the Revo Ikon a very desirable networked radio system.
