Samsung DuoCam: Seeing double?

Decent, relatively high-resolution stills; solid low-light video quality and performance

Weak flash; subpar still-camera performance; kludgy design

Though it takes better still photos than a typical camcorder, it does make some performance compromises.

Samsung VP-D6050i

Though it takes better still photos than a typical camcorder, it does make some performance compromises.

Decent, relatively high-resolution stills ; solid low-light video quality and performance

Weak flash ; subpar still-camera performance ; kludgy design

The camera has a solid, hefty feel, likely because Samsung has, essentially, added the components of a digital camera to a compact DV camcorder chassis. Though it has a sturdy feel, at 540g, it's no heavier than typical midsize camcorders
