Samsung VP-DC161W

Aimed at the novice end of the market, the VP-DC161W is designed to ensure users spend less time figuring out how to use it and more time filming.

The Samsung is a great entry-level DVD camcorder with a feature set to please undemanding users. Experts will be less impressed, though, and blank DVDs are currently neither cheap, spacious nor anywhere near as quick as Mini DV.

damn rubbish

had this 2 years hardly used.it packed up after holidays with discs not finalised. emailed samsung about lost film they were no help dont buy it also picture quality poor

Absolute Rubbish

Bought this around 10 months ago using all of my 21st birthday money (£400 at the time!!!). Thought it would be good for holidays and such as it is compact and the battery lasts 4 hours (apparently), as well as this i bought the samsung accessories...

This camcorder will drive you crazy

Nothing but problems trying to transfer to my computer. Had many problems with the discs and lost data. Picture quality is good but transfering is a real pain. Buy a hard disc camcorder.
