Acer Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition

The Liquid E is eye-catching in red but does it have enough under the hood to hold your attention for long?

Looks aside the Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition isn't a particularly strong Android device. There are better options for less money.

Review: Acer Liquid E

Acer produces both a fast and inexpensive Android phone.

Great price for the features ; Excellent voice quality ; Fast; reference Android 2.1 with multi-touch ; Welcome and thankfully small custom widgets ; Camera with good color reproduction

Possible long-term build quality concerns ; Only 2GB of included storage.- Camera sometimes has "smeared stills;" VGA video

Design, build quality and the displayFrom a cursory look, the Liquid E wouldn't do much to command attention; it's a minimalist candybar with an all-black surface when the display is powered off. It's not much different than the original Liquid

Acer Liquid E

The Acer Liquid E is practically the same as the Acer A1 the only difference is that it now packs Android 2.1! Bringing additional features to play with too!

This beast still packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a wide 3.5 inch WVGA Capacitive touch screen. Remember the Android treats I said earlier? - Well having Android 2.1 adds some great features such as Live wallpapers - an interactive homescreen...

Acer Liquid E Android smartphone

Acer's Liquid E offers good performance and all the features of Google's Android OS, but lacks any real wow factor

Impressive performance, curved design, notifying LED icons, upgradeable to Android 2.2, battery life

Flimsy build quality compared to competitors, lacks wow factor, glossy screen hard to see in direct sunlight

Acer's Liquid E offers good performance and all the features of Google's Android OS, but its questionable build quality and the fact it lacks any real wow factor makes it a tough sell - especially without a carrier.

Acer Liquid E review

Acer's second Android phone adds an Eclair 2.1 update

Great screen ; Android 2.1 ; Google Maps Navigation ; NemoPlayer widget ; Fast processor

Poor messaging ; Cheap design ; Standard Android camera ; No access to internal storage ; Lazy incarnation of Android

As a relative smartphone newcomer, Acer entered the Android playpen last year with the Liquid S100. It was a decent first effort, but very a bold manoeuvre.

Acer updates the OS and adds multi-touch support to its premium Android handset, but is it enough to impress?

Acer Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition review

Acer's latest Ferrari tie up is here. But is it as classy as Alonso or as naff as Bruno Senna?

A competent rather than spectacular Android smartphone, even with the Prancing Horse paintjob

Acer Liquid E Ferrari Review

The Acer Liquid E Ferrari pulls up to the starting block with a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA and Android 2.1 running under the hood. It's certainly primed to run rings around its predecessor, the Acer Liquid,…
