Kyocera Brio (Virgin Mobile)

With a payLo plan from Virgin Mobile, the Kyocera Brio is an inexpensive, but utterly barebones, messaging phone.

Comfortable QWERTY keyboard. Solid email support. Decent call quality.

No 3G. Poor camera. No music or video playback.

Multimedia and Conclusions Multimedia options are poor. You get 10MB of free internal memory on the Brio, along with an empty microSD card slot underneath the battery cover. My 32GB SanDisk card worked fine. But the thing is, you won't need to expand...

Kyocera Brio (Sprint)

The Kyocera Brio is a free, capable messaging device, but Sprint users can do much better without having to spend a dime.

Kyocera Brio - gray (Sprint) review

Amid all the high-end, superpremium devices, it's nice to see carriers like Sprint also offering free, basic phones for renewing customers and luring new recruits. While the Brio certainly isn't anything worth paying much money for, it's not a terrible...

The Kyocera Brio has good call quality, access to Web-based e-mail, room for a 32GB expansion card, and it's free with a new two-year contract.

The buttons and keyboard could be more comfortable on the Brio, the camera is pretty terrible, and Internet is a poor experience. The Brio is not a 3G phone.

The Kyocera Brio is worth the price you pay for it, but unless you're in the market for a free feature phone with a small screen, QWERTY keyboard, and good call quality, keep on moving.

"Good basic phone, like it a lot. Some issues though."

Overall, I like my Brio and would recommend to others if not having video is not a big deal to you.

Sound quality good, never had a dropped call, Easy to use. Better quality basic(free)phone compared to others. Keys are small but not a problem for most people, few errors when texting or dialing phone number.

Have to hold phone very still to get clear picture. No video, only camera. Slight delay when you pull up calendar but I don't consider that a big deal.

"A great basic service phone"

For a basic phone, you can't beat the Kyocera Brio. It's easy to use, has great call quality, has a slim size, and you can text without having to slide the keyboard out. I really like it. I have big fingers but still manage the keys ok. It never drops...

Call Quality. Size.

Keys are a little small.
