RIM BlackBerry 6710 (AT&T) review

RIM BlackBerry 6710 (AT&T)

Thumb keyboard; excellent battery life; several included accessories; Outlook- and Notes-compatible software.

Monochrome, low-resolution screen; awkward navigation; sluggish performance; no memory-expansion slots; no USB (only serial) connectivity.

The 6710 ably handles e-mail, PIM, and basic online tasks, but it has a low-res, monochrome screen and awkward navigation.

I Want My Corporate Email Now!!

Simple. Straight forward. Your Corporate email is seconds away.

PC's desktop Inbox gets hammered by system messages all day. AT&T: slow phone support.

Blackberry 6710 Important Features Missing

Both cellular and e-mail capability in the same unit

No voicememos, control on time backlight stays on, touchscreen, easy way to flag messages

Blacker the Berry, Sweeter the Juice? Maybe NOT.

QWERTY keyboard, corporate e-mail access, speaker/mic, trackwheel

Dual band, monochrome display, limited memory, weak reception due to internal antenna, no touch screen.

A beauty that is waiting for its time

"Always on" data, pda and phone built into one tight little package!

A product that functions on an untested inferior network introduced long before full deployment

Berry, Berry Good

Slick email integration for both personal and corporate accounts ; nice refinements from earlier devices

Poor design for mobile phone ; awkward earbud ; weak PDA functionality
