Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo review: A cheap 4G phone that makes too many sacrifices

The Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo is certainly an inexpensive way of getting 4G, but it makes too many compromises elsewhere for it to be a good buy.

The Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo packs 4G data speeds and doesn't cost the Earth.

The screen is unpleasant in every respect, the battery life isn't great and it's not exactly pretty to look at either.

Although the Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo provides 4G on the cheap, the big red network has made too many sacrifices elsewhere on the phone. Even at this low price, your money can be better spent elsewhere.

Vodafone Smart Tab 4 is a £125 tablet, but its mediocre screen lacks luxury

Vodafone's tablet is cheap, but with rather basic hardware, is it good value? We find out.

The Vodafone Smart Tab 4 is slim and affordable, and its Android operating system grants access to plenty of apps.

Its display lacks punch, it doesn't have 4G, and its camera is terrible. Battery life isn't great either.

Although it's cheap, the Smart Tab 4 makes too many compromises. This is a worthy tablet if you're after a basic device for email and browsing, but if you're planning on watching movies, TV or playing games, it's worth paying a little more for Google's...

Vodafone Smart Tab 4 review

Integrated 3G and a good-quality screen are heartening at the price, but the sluggish performance sees it tumble down the rankings

Overall, the Vodafone Smart Tab 4 did significantly better than we expected it to. The screen is decent, there’s some expansion potential, and a 3G-enabled tablet for £125 is a very tempting prospect. However, as a piece of hardware, the positives...

Vodafone Smart 4

Vodafone's no stranger to the budget blower arena, with last year's Smart III providing fairly decent bang for buck, but a lot has changed in the span of a year. Motorola's Moto G is the reigning champion when it comes to low-priced mobiles, and the...

The Vodafone Smart 4 improves on last year's model with a better processor and larger screen, but it simply can't compete with the ever-growing range of budget blowers that offer you plenty of bang for buck. For £75, it handles the basics well, but if...
