Budget price, mainstream performance. The latest affordable Redmi model from the Chinese manufacturer carries a surprisingly bright backlight and long battery runtimes with the new Snapdragon 616 SoC for just under $160 USD.

thinner and sleeker design, larger display than Redmi 2 with more accurate colors and grayscale, bright backlight, long runtimes, IR blaster, decent camera for the price, inexpensive, no throttling
