ZTE Zmax (T-Mobile)

The ZTE Zmax will appeal to large-screen fans on a tight budget; stellar battery life and near-stock Android are icing on the cake.

Big 5.7-inch display. Long battery life. Very affordable.

Generic look. Dated capacitive keys.

Camera and Conclusions The 8-megapixel, rear-facing camera is inconsistent, but capable of producing some nice shots. The Zmax tends to overexpose images, which blows out details in good-lighting scenarios, but also makes for decent low-light...

ZTE ZMAX Review

Even now, it's still rare to find a budget oriented phablet, but the ZTE ZMAX surely gains attention with its outright cost of $252 – so will it be enough to get people to take notice of it?...

Inexpensively priced phablet ; Impressive battery life ; Mostly stock Android experience is simple & intuitive ; Multi-tasking element when it comes to playing videos ; Camera app has a lot of useful shooting modes & manual controls

Generic looking design ; Zero software features that would enhance the experience ; Slow focus & snapshot with the camera, which results in blurring ; Visible distortion at wide viewing angles ; Speakerphone is weak for phone calls

Looking at the overall package, we can say that the ZTE ZMAX is as generic as they get, but for a phablet, we’re content to know that it’s accompanied with an affordable price tag of $252 outright. Certainly, it’s the least features rich phablet we’ve...

Review: ZTE ZMax for T-Mobile / MetroPCS

The ZMax is a budget phablet available from both T-Mobile and MetroPCS. This Android handset should appeal to cost-conscious buyers who want the biggest screen they can afford.

Really a great phone. It is perfect for me. I am on a budget and it is reliable.

This is a great phone at a great price. There is no comparison. I bought mine for $149 at Cricket. It works great now for over a year. No real problems to speak of. If you compare this to the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy which would cost 3-4 times as...

Large screen, great price, good phone support.

None really. It is an amazing phone for the price.

Exceptional product for the price

CNET is a bunch of Samsung and Apple Zombies. If Apple and Samsung told CNET to eat ten links of their turd they would be ready with fork, knife and spoon in hand. Buy the ZTE ZMax2. It and over achieve for the price and It's a phablet for the rest of us.

Best "Bang for the Buck" device on the market.

Where to start?

Screen size, battery that lasts forever, MP3 audio quality, lack of bloatware, price. ($99.00)

Slight LCD backlight issue on some menus.

Excellent features at an incredible price

I love the ZMAX more than my Galaxy S4. I this sounds crazy, but with the great battery life and easy to use interface, I've fallen in love. The main downside of this phone is it's huge size, but in my personal opinion, having a larger screen is worth...

The Zmax's huge screen makes everything much more enjoyable. Battery life is incredible. Thin build but sturdy in hand.

Non-removable battery and well hidden sd/sim slots is the biggest con.
