I had one of the Cuisinarts older version of this and it lasted along time. But it finally went out and needed to buy a new one. I looked for along time and saw that they had this newer version out. This is by far the best!

I have a large family and knew all were coming over for a get together so I ordered the Brewing System by Cuisinart. Everyone loved it and was very happy to brew their type of brew. I even had 2 family members love it enough to purchase one themselves.

I don't see much point to the overpriced water filters, and, as with the DCC-1200, once those included with the unit get too grungie I'll throw them out without replacement. This may make it easier to fill the reservoir as the wand the filter is on...

Make superb coffee as my other Cuisinart did. I was able to use my old filter basket. There are a few brewing glitches. It ran over yesterday and has left grounds on the brewing top a few times but overall, can't complain for the price!
