iCoffee's Keurig competitor is no game-changer

Despite some big claims, this flashy countertop coffee maker didn't make a meaner mug of joe in our test kitchen.

The iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer sports a flashy design and promises to work with all kinds of K-style cups.

iCoffee isn't as feature-rich as other brewers we've tested, and despite iCoffee's claims, we weren't able to detect an uptick in coffee quality.

iCoffee's brewer does an acceptable job, but it doesn't live up to its performance claims, and that makes it difficult to recommend.

Works as advertised

Dependable , hot , delicious coffee no matter the brand. Able to dial the size cup you like and it holds 70 ounces of water. What's not to like?

great coffee and hot. Dependable!! Got tired of having to pound on mY Keurig to work every morning.

Does the Job, and Does it well!

I set out determined to purchase a Bunn My Cafe MCU. I read all of the reviews and it really is the only single cup brewer that I wanted to replace my old Keurig which was on the outs. However, for some reason, here in Canada, the Bunn just can't be...

Marginally hotter coffee then my Keurig, larger water reservoir, ease of dialing in exact amount of coffee

Not the coffee maker I originally wanted to purchase, but that's not really a con.

So far so good

Had a Keurig for the past 5 years w/o any issues, if this lasts as long, I'd be very happy with it- otherwise it's better than the Keurig in all other aspects, temp, speed, versatility and quality of brew/ technology.

Hotter than I was getting from Keurig, Water reservoir, Cup for ground coffee, Fast brewing.

Too big, but if you want a water tank, it had to be.

The BEST of all top name brands.

I love my coffee and I like a bold roast. I grind my beans and use the self brew cups (2) supplied in the box. I have had the Tassimo, Cusinart, Keurig, all top of line models and this is by far the best. the Tassimo is my 2nd choice. Kuerig made the...

Coffee temp is hottest, flavor, can use you on ground beans, viable size select, fast.

Terrific

I just wanted to update my previous post and rate it with the 5 stars it deserves. I didn't realize I could do that before. I would also rate the reviewer or tester whoever it is at zero stars. I doubt they even used the machine . I they did there is...

richer Coffee, Less Acidic and smoother

The smoothest tasting coffee from a K Brewer

I really do like this brewer...makes coffee from ANY K-Cup taste very smooth...and never that OOPs like you get from Keurig's new machine. The dial on front is very good idea...I like 7.5 ounces...it's perfect for me. I have tried the reusable...

Smooth taste and dial to choose size

frankly not much wrong, maybe if they could offer alternate color

I love it!!! Coffee is hot and much better than Keurig.

I really like the flexibility of being able to chose how many ounces of water I want. Do I feel like a smaller, stronger cup or coffee or a larger, milder cup of coffee? I can chose by 1/2 ounce increments. I also like the removable drip tray feature....

Freedoms to use any k cup, not just Keurig's
