Gateway FX7020 and FHD2400 Review

It's been years since $1,100 was a low budget for retail desktop shoppers. We remember spending that much in January 2007 to get a dual-core (Athlon 64 X2) Media Center PC with a TV tuner and all the trimmings, including a 250GB hard disk, DVD burner,...

Of course there are faster gaming machines than the FX7020 -- for instance, those with AMD's overclockable Phenom 9600 Black Edition instead of the stock 9600 that powers the Gateway. And a savvy build-it-yourselfer might be able to put such a system...

Gateway's FX7020 mainstream gaming box delivers enough of the goods to keep the whole family happy. It won't set any 3D game records—nor will it push you into foreclosure.

Respectable gaming performance

Won't drive the most demanding DX10 titles

Satisfied computer geek.

Very pleased with the computer and especially the monitor.

ATX case, quad core, upper range video card, extra features such as built in card reader with good software to support it. I bought this with the 24" HD Gateway monitor and it looks awesome. Have had zero problems from the first boot up. The system is...

I have heard that the gateway support is lacking but have not had to use it ; I think the power supply will be an issue in the future if upgrading, but it is very functional now ; Keyboard and mouse are basic, speakers sub-par

The Problem you're having could be more than a driver, you could've gotten a bad graphics card or likely bad Ram. nots not that rare

Excellent Budget Minded Gaming System

Can't beat this system for the price. I bought this to replace my ageing 4 year old Gateway since it was so reliable and such a work horse. It's fast. Plenty of storage. I've run so far F.e.a.r, Bioshock, and Call of Duty 4 at evey single thing maxed...
