It probably draws too much power but it worked fine when I plugged it into the other USB port.

If you need the drivers for this, you need to look up Asix AX88178. This is the model number it installs as.

If you can find a diff product thats brand name as cheap or cheaper then go for it. Otherwise this isn't a bad deal.

Easy and Cheap... Great for laptops...

Drivers on disk tend to freeze computer but when rebooted they are installed... No other driver support found on the web so if you loose the disk your done for.

Fast

 

Bought this for my new laptop that should have come with a gigabit NIC but only has 100 MBS. Works just as well, I just hace to plug in a USB cable instead of a RJ45.

Fast, easy to connect. light and Compact Can easily use on diffrent computers since it just plugs into a USB 2.0 port

A detachable Usb cable would be nice so I could change the cable size
