Lightweight and easy to carry ; 5-axis IBIS sensor ; IP53 dust and splash protection ; Ample buffer for long bursts ; Handheld 50MP multi-shot and Live ND ; Eco-friendly packaging

A focus joystick and EVF upgrade would be welcome ; Autofocus system not as smart as competitors ; 6fps continuous focus anemic for action ; 4K30 footage limited to 8-bit color ; No headphone jack ; Outdated micro USB connection

The OM System OM-5 adds some useful computational features to the outgoing Olympus E-M5 Mark III, but it doesn't offer any upgrades to the body that would compel upgrading and doesn't quite justify its price.

A pocketable powerhouse

Small size ; Powerful features ; Excellent stabilization ; Great lens line-up ; Clever computational shooting modes
