Olympus FE-250 review

Olympus FE-250

Good image quality; great indoor white balance.

Sluggish performance; few manual settings.

The Olympus FE-250 is a little slow and has few manual settings, but at least it takes good pictures.

Olympus FE-250

Introduced in January 2007, the 8-megapixel FE-250 is the middle model in Olympus's entry-level line. The FE-250 has typical point-and-shoot features including 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD, and digital image stabilization. The FE-250 had an...

Olympus FE-250

Read a digital camera review of the Olympus FE-250 on DigitalCameraInfo.com.

The Olympus FE-250 packs an 8-megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom, and 230,000-pixel 2.5-inch LCD into a petite metal frame. The camera improves on the manual controls of lower-priced "FE" models by including control over ISO. It comes with a wealth of...

Olympus FE-250 Digital Camera Full Review

The Olympus FE-250 is the current top of the line FE model from Olympus.

8 megapixels ; Well-built ; Attractive, slim metal body

Slight overexposure by default ; White balance under indoor lighting a little spotty

The FE-250 is the best performing model in the current FE lineup.  While its image quality results are similar to the other models, it has the best overall operation speed.  In particular, card access times are much better than its siblings. ...

Olympus FE-250 review

Despite what Olympus says, less isn't actually more

Maximum ISO looks great... in theory ; Easy to use ; Good lens

Forgetful settings ; Poor battery life ; Average image quality ; Too few adjustments

If the Olympus FE-250 had a price tag of around £120 it would be worth considering. But you can buy far better cameras for around the same price.
