Olympus EVolt E-300

 

This rugged SLR is fast and can shoot in long bursts, but it requires specific lenses.

Though the lenses available are limited, the E-300 delivers high image quality, and its features are well suited to photographers of all skill levels.

This is a good affordable choice for serious amateurs who want high-resolution images, lots of control, and access to a growing assortment of Four Thirds lenses.

Well-built. 8-megapixel digital SLR for the price of an entry-level 6MP D-SLR. Possesses all important features and functions. Olympus's "sonic clean" capability keeps dust off the sensor.

This beauty-challenged Olympus offers unmatched build quality, snappy performance, and top resolution for its class, but low-light shooters and metering novices may prefer alternatives.

Good interface; lets you trade resolution for speed; well-designed body; high resolution.
