TiVo Series2 DT hands-on review

We got our chance to have a little private time with TiVo's new 80-hour dual-tuner Series2 (TCD649080) last week. There isn't a whole lot we can tell you about the unit that you didn't already know (dual analog tuners, single digital, no CableCARD, no...

TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorder

I've been using Tivos for years and this is my favorite unit yet, it finally has a network connection built in so no need to use usb to network adapter. The Tivo 2 features are nice such as streaming music/images from pc. I love the ability to record 2...

More reliable than cable alternatives, ability to upgrade hard drive for mega space (if you know where to look), Many way to search for programming, built in NIC

Sometimes thinks reruns are new episode, inability to tell it to just record show on a single channel, can't dual record digital channels

TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorder

Highly reccomend, had Moxi DVR from Adelphia cable before, which was much worse than Tivo, except for the fact it could record HDTV. Tivo has everything else right though, easy interface to work with, and many functions to connect to your home network....

TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorder

My family uses the Tivo all the time. We originally had a single tuner, but once you go to the dual tuner, you'll never go back. It's especially helpful if you want to watch a show while recording another. I'm hoping that the HD Tivo drops in price...

Dual tuner is actually a big deal, very nice. Great remote, very convenient

No HD... it'll be a pain when the signal goes HD next year

Tivo has been around for a while now, and the overall experience is fairly refined. Finding shows to record and customizing the recording schedule and options are very nice. The biggest problem in everyday use is the delay between pressing buttons on...

Able to record two shows simultaneously*, built in networking, easy interface

TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorder

This is my second Tivo because our family can't get enough of it. It's so easy to use that both the 3 year-old and the 65 year-old in the family are fighting over the remote. Setup and using it is a breeze (much easier than getting a TV tuner for the...

record two channels at once, pause live TV, user-friendly, simple to setup, easy to upgrade HD
