Garmin nuLink! 1695 review

Hands on with the Garmin nuLink 1695 The Garmin nüLink! 1695 is Garmin's second connected navigator, updating the nuvi 1690 with trafficTrends (historical road speed database) and myTrends, which allows the device to learn your preferred routes. In...

Connected services including Google Local search, traffic, gas prices and weather ; No fee for nuLink services for first year ; 5” screen ; Good cellular modem reception ; Improved traffic reception for fringe coverage areas ; Live weather radar...

nuLink servcies cost $60 per year after first year ; Some nuLink services cost extra ; Bulky ; trafficTrends results in increased route calculation times ; Junction View coverage very limited ; Cannot customize speeding warning (e.g., for 10 MPH over...

The nuLink 1695 is an excellent navigator. I highly recommend it for people who spend a lot of time on the road, or who don’t have a smartphone. It’s worth it for Google Local search alone.  Folks who rely on traffic coverage but live in fringe...

Garmin nuLink 1695

Can Garmin's only satnav with live services match up to its TomTom competitors? We go driving to find out

Very easy to use and chock full of features, but the traffic service could be better

Great Product

Really easy to set up. Takes a while to get used to the traffic updates, but they have been incredibly accurate so far. Haven\'t really used the restaurant look up and fuel prices yet. But I have fooled around with it a little just to see what would...

Ok... But... Is it worth it?

While the number of "cons" are greater than the "pros", the Garmin software advantage, in general operation, still makes this (or any Garmin) unit the best... But it is starting to get shaky for them to rely on that alone. "Ads" are absurd, not being...

5" screen, very nice ; Garmin GPS "software" still the best - easiest to use, most intuitive

Need to disconnect power, from time to time, to keep it from locking up, or changing settings (voice prompts turn off, if unit is left on for three days straight) ; Advertising is present if "trafic" is on. Can't turn it off separately. Absurd for a...

The Best Ever!!

Oh my gosh..we used this for the 1st time and it was the best ever. It informs you of the safety cameras, traffic cameras, traffic...etc. Everything you would want, it has. I love how it informs you that you are coming up on your exit/turn and your in...

Garmin nuLink! 1695 GPS Receiver can be confusing. ”

The Garmin nuLink! 1695 GPS Receiver can be very comfusing for a person that is just trying to be familiar with the item. I say this because in the last few days I have been riding with a friend who has the Garmin nuLink! 1695 GPS Receiver and...
