I have made a very stupid purchase

Even when I know where I am going, I use my GPS to monitor my speed, alert me to changes in speed limit and tell me the new speed, and war\n me when I'm over the limit. My last lamented (stolen) unit also displayed the current speed, very accurately. This one just says 'bong!"

Back-to-basics interface much easier to use ; School warnings now time and day sensitive ; Keyword destination search ; Traffic light info

Limited lane guidance ; Slightly fiddly windscreen mount ; Processor struggles to keep up at times

Navman's new EZY GPS range keeps up with the entry-level Joneses thanks to its reworked easier-to-use interface and, joy of joys, time-dependent school zone warnings.

The Navman EZY40 is an affordable in-dash GPS that keeps navigation simple. It is aimed at someone who has never used a sat-nav before, with the device sporting large icons and a fairly simple layout.

Big screen; Easy interface; Has lots of safety and navigation features; Lots of POI; Attractive price

Screen sometimes unresponsive; Traffic receiver optional; No USB cable for computer connection

Arrgh, severely disappointed with this model. No auto power off, so if you forget to turn it off it goes flat and won't start again till it has had a few minutes power.
