Portable In-Car GPS

Navman's ICN 510 works equally well whether you're in the car or on foot.

Navman iCN510

This battery-operated GPS receiver has all the features you need and provides voice-enabled directions that direct you turn by turn.

Lightweight, portable, easy to use, good battery life, good value.

Screen tends to wash out in bright sunlight and has reflections.

Navman iCN510 - Pocket-lint

A portable in-car navigation system with a lot going for it

Excellent directions, clear instructions and the reassurance you’re going the right way

The SD card provided doesn’t really have enough memory

It’s brilliant for those long trips, gives you the reassurance that you really are going the right way - with a 14-hour drive the last thing you want to do is to be diverted for even a few minutes. The Navman made sure that never happened.

Navman iCN 510 review

The Navman iCN510 has a Windows CE core, a folding GPS antenna and a safety conscious remote control. But can it get you from A-Z?

Navman iCN510

LP found the Navman iCN510's routing quite tenacious if not a little rottweiler like but hey we found some new routes back from the office! But the question you all want to know the answer to, is it better than the Tom Tom Go Unit?

Also refurb - but still good

In 5 years and thousands of dollars, this is my first ever complaint with Newegg - I also got a refurbished model with a scratch on the screen, glue on the back where it had been cemented into a demo-holder of some type, and a letter from NAVMAN...

Agreed - great for the price

Navman software is good for "browsing" where you are, but even in "high contrast" mode you can get lost on tricky interchanges if you're just listening to the voice and not starting intently at the cluttered screen. The device is obviously designed to...

I got a refurbished unit...

This a great GPS device. I have had one for more than a year and I like almost everything about it. I bought a second one for my other car last week from newegg.com and to my surprise I got a poorly refurbished unit insteads of a brand new one. Did any...

Great device for the price

Newegg sent me a refurbished unit

Good GPS

It is a very nicely built GPS with nice TFT screen. The windshield mount is very strong and I mount it next to my rear view mirror. Unless your trip takes more than 5 hours, a fully charged unit will last 4-5 hours.

One of the features that I like most is the fact that rechargeable battery was integrated to the unit. Many expensive hard disk driven GPS must have power plugged in all the time, which mean unsightly cable hanging near your windshield. THis little GPS...

Only support up to 512MB of SD card. Some users have tried using 1GB, but I also heard that may instabilize the system ; Future software update is NOT FREE. THat mean you pretty much stucked with the one come with it, unless you spend $$$ to upgrade

Great Value

Great little unit for the price. Has no HD to fail from motorcycle vibration. I've had no problems using a 1Gig card and can load 1/2 the US on it. If I ever need the other half, I'll just get another card. Some have said it loses signal in a...

Excellent little unit. I use it in the car and on my Motorcycle. I use a 1Gig card with no problems. Better having a card than internal HD so I can use it on the bike. Simple to use once you get use to it like any GPS is. I like the size, portability...

I would've liked to be able to plan my routes on my PC and upload them to the unit, but I'm not sure if any GPS for this price has that capability. Some glare problems while riding my botorcycle

Who needs a map when you have this?

I recommend this unit highly for the tech saavy person but if computers and software scare you, get something with preloaded maps. Overall, this unit is a bargain and you won't be disappointed once you get it loaded. I was going to RMA the unit because...

Portable, accurate, fast recalculation (about 10 seconds), easy to use interface, long list of features

Voice volume very low, initial software setup is cumbersome, map downloading is VERY slow and you'll need to buy a memory card before using it
