Well I bought this unit for my dad for Xmas. At work I use the Blackbird By alpine. Our units were 350.00 us. This unit I payed 150.00 for and you CAN"T beat the price for a unit that works just like any High dollar one. Who needs an MP3 player on...

Title

When I initially received it I thought there was a power problem because when I plugged it in it would randomly show me the power light. I assumed the internal power jack was no good. Then I found the small SPST switch on the back. Don't know why...

Positioning delay when booted isn't much different from other GPSs. Battery powered is a plus. Small -can put about directly over steering wheel (in larger vehicles). Decent amount of options

Manual power on/off. Turning on requires holding power button for 5 seconds -unless mines a lemon. Can only zoom out so far, so to see which planet you're heading to, you'll have to hold and drag many many times

Great GPS

Great price for GPS in such caliber, intuitive setup, reasonable satellite reception, user-friendly interface. So far no problem to go around Los Angeles area, definitely will give try for next month trip to LV. Thumb up

Same to other user's view, very limited information on the web. No map update at this point, although the map is kind of current in the device
