TomTom GO 2505-TM: Premium GPS Features in a 5-inch Package

The TomTom GO 2505-TM has virtually every feature that you could want in a nonconnected navigation device. And, the company packs all of that into a striking, slim chassis.

Large screen, full-featured navigation device with pleasing design, and lifetime traffic and map updates.

TomTom GO 2505 TM

The TomTom Go's glass capacitive touch screen is super-responsive and does a good job of showing off the updated interface's crisp graphics. TomTom's menu structure receives a major overhaul and is now much easier to use. Bluetooth hands-free calling,...

The voice command system doesn't feature onscreen prompts or much spoken guidance, leaving users to check the manual to learn what commands are available. While much easier to use, TomTom's interface can still be a bit confusing and overwhelming as new...

The new Go 2405 TM and 2505 TM are among the best GPS devices that TomTom has ever made, packing loads of useful features into a handsome chassis for a pretty good price.

Review: TomTom Go 2505-TM GPS device

The TomTom Go 2505 is a winner across the board. It has all of the features you need: a 5.0-inch screen, Bluetooth that works seamlessly, highway lane guidance, and lifetime traffic/map updates.

For those looking to save a few bucks, TomTom also offers the $300 GO 2405-TM, an identically featured device with a smaller, 4.3-inch screen. "M" only, "T" only, and base models aren't being offered for the newest entries in the Go product line in...

TomTom GO 2505TM review

Hands on with the TomTom GO 2505TM The TomTom GO 2505TM is the top of the line model in the new GO 2×05 series, which represents the most significant refresh I've seen since the first TomTom I ever used, a GO 300. The big changes are the new...

I really like the TomTom GO 2505TM hardware, a lot. The bright capacitive touch screen and innovative magnetic mount are great improvements. TomTom has redone their interface and managed to make it fairly intuitive, keeping the best features of old and...

A New Breed of TomTom GPS

"Nothing but problems. Worst GPS I ever owned."

I will never buy anything from TOMTOM again. I would not recommend that anyone else does either, unless you have money to waist. Customer sevrice is super slow. They will not stand behind their products more than one year, no mater how many you...

NONE, cant say one good thing about the unit or the company.

Purchased my GPS in Jan of 2011. Had the unit replaced twice in one year. After the one year warranty ran out and my third unit quit working right, they said there was nothing they could do about it.

"I like it but would like to see more content added."

Big screen, good graphics, fairly accurate maps. Updates using the Internet based function works well, but only when TomTom decides to send updates, which is very infrequent. Used it in Florida and it worked well there.

Very poor ability to add any additional content. Very infrequently updated by TomTom. Doesn't work with the computer based app that is used to update most other TomTom devices. Battery doesn't last long when not plugged in. Fairly heavy.

Avoid this unit unless you don't want to do any updates

Got this unit for one month, was working great until I decided to do a update. Followed the instructions and with 11% to the finish, it crash. Try many time to update, having the same problem. Unit boot up but say "no maps found". Returned to the store...

Big and bright screen ; Interface is nice, very easy to navigate thru the menu

Charging plug is not standard usb, you will need to buy from Tomtom if you need to replace the one that came if the unit ; Most of the features are not implemented yet ; Update from tomtom websites is not working

Folks dissing the Tomtom GO 2505 TM?? Read my Summary!!

Folks - READ the extensive CNET review and watch the video. Download the FULL manual from the web. People simply diss good products before researching, reviewing, and fully LEARNING how to use them. You save around $150 from similar, but not as nice...

Sleek, slim, 100s of (navigation) features, accurate directions, the NEW easy mount is the best in the industry, big GLASS screen, highly configurable with POIs and other stuff, easy to use all features after learning curve, don't think Garmin offers Pinc

Bit of a steep learning curve, still haven't learned how to enter and submit Map Corrections. Sometimes wants to take you on a different route then the one you KNOW is the best, but the unit is SELF LEARNING so corrects itself the next time you want to g
