Accurate audio performance ; Decent noise cancellation for the price ; LDAC codec support ; Comfortable fit ; Customizable in-app EQ

Lacks AAC and AptX codecs ; Too much function overlap with the physical controls

The Edifier WH950NB headphones offer solid noise cancellation and a balanced sound signature in a comfortable design, though their control layout could be more intuitive.

Support for the excellent LDAC codec will appeal to the relatively small number of listeners using smartphones or digital audio players with the same feature.

Good sound quality ; Solid ANC ; LDAC support

Doesn’t support the AAC codec ; Doesn’t support any of the aptX codecs

These well-built headphones sound good, but if your Bluetooth playback device doesn’t support Sony’s LDAC—an excellent but not widely supported codec—you’d be better served by headphones that support either the aptX family (on Android devices) or AAC...

I love it when a company offers much-improved headphones over a previous model. The Edifier WH950NB headphone is such a headphone. It's inexpensive enough to buy, even if you already own the W860NB. It's that much better.
