Gigabyte Aivia Osmium Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Offering some interesting features we put the Osmium through its paces to see if it keeps up the high standard that Aivia/Gigabyte have set.

The Osmium is another quality product from Aivia. With a very high build quality, good software support and macro control. With USB 3.0 support the Osmium sets a high standard for mechanical gaming keyboards.

Gigabyte Aivia Osmium Keyboard Review

The Osmium is a very well-rounded product, from small details (like the plastic covers of the connectors) to the extra keys with helpful symbols. As a mechanical keyboard, it's precise, comfortable and very solid on the table. It didn't let us down...

Gigabyte Aivia Osmium

The Aivia Osmium is a solid gaming keyboard that lacks a few features but remains a good option. Read our full review to learn more.

This keyboard has a strong list of customization options, including five macro keys combined with five profiles

There isn't a gaming mode or dedicated media keys

With a few caveats, the Aivia Osmium is an excellent keyboard with decent customization options.

Gigabyte Aivia Osmium mechanical gaming keyboard

Motherboard vendor goes for a premium gaming experience with its latest mechanical keyboard

Responsive and quiet keys suited for gaming ; Premium design and feel

Brightness of logo and Num, Caps, and Scroll Lock keys can not be adjusted ; Scroll wheels feel loose and lack the keyboard’s overall polish

The Aivia Osmium is a great mechanical keyboard that works well during gameplay. However, a few small design niggles keep it from being perfect.

Mechanical Cherry MX Red key switches ; Lovely finish ; Built like a brick ; Class-leading connectivity

Aggressive rear slope can be uncomfortable ; Expensive

Another nice gaming touch on the Osmium are five keycaps with custom decals like a firebolt, lightning bolt, shield and puma-like face. A key removal tool is included so you can interchange these with any of the regularly shaped keys, especially handy...
