GIGABYTE GK-K6800 Professional Multimedia Keyboard Review

The days of the 104 key beige keyboard are over. This is evident by the amount of dust they accumulate at the surplus stores and are about as exciting as a stop sign. Comparing just about any…

Super Affordable at $14.99 ; Multimedia Functions ; Classy Little Chrome Volume Wheel ; Quality Design & Components ; Hot Key Functions ; Works Right Out of the Box ; Silent and smooth typing feel

At this price, not one

We know there's not a lot of engineering that needs to go in to a multimedia keyboard to make it a good one. However, there are quite a few things you can leave out for whatever reason that would kill it before it even launched. There are no real short...

Gigabyte GK-K6800 Professional Multimedia Keyboard

Today, we'll be taking a look at one of Gigabyte's latest multimedia keyboards, the GK-K6800. Despite entering a market dominated by peripheral greats such as Logitech and Razer, the GK-K6800 looks promising. Is the GK-K6800 the keyboard to bring...

The Gigabyte GK-K6800 shows an attempt to appeal to the everyday user with a keyboard that is simple to use yet elegant and stylish in design. It is both a relatively quiet and comfortable keyboard due to it's ergonomic design. Additionally, the hot...

Gigabyte GK-K6800 USB Keyboard Review

But most do not offer the ability to plug and go without the use of drivers or user setup programs. This is where the Gigabyte GK-K6800 does very well. For the price of a low end keyboard, you get a midgrade board with some pop. The multimedia keys...

Gigabyte GK-K6800

For some users, a keyboard is nothing more than an afterthought, a single part that came bundled with a system. For others, choosing the right keyboard can be difficult. It's one of the two PC components that users physically interact with the...

The GK-K6800 has a somewhat firm feel to its keys, which make the board feel more expensive than it is. The keycaps are also textured and laser-engraved for durability. There are 14 multimedia buttons, which control the media player, launch...

Keys are easily depressed. Pretty decent for media and gaming

None really. Not used to the smaller backspace key

First couple of months, it was fine. After that... it went all downhill. It is possibly the worst keyboard and mouse combo I've ever had, and I've had a few! I hate to bash on you guys, I'm a avid customer of Gigabyte... My current PC has the H77 DS3H...

Nice volume wheel

Oh where do I start ; See other thoughts

Praise the mighty wheel

I want one. Stuck with a standard dell keyboard. :( Well good thing I planning to do an upgrade :)

As other reviewers said, you will become extremely dependent on that wheel nob/dial to control your system volume. (Brother greatly loves it)

Backspace button wee bit small

Lasted 3 Years of Heavy Use

I purchased this keyboard in 2010. After three years of heavy gaming use the '1' and '2' keys stopped working. Considering the abuse it took and the number of drinks spilled on it, 3 years is a really good run. The volume wheel is a feature you quickly...
