Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard review: Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

PalmOne Universal Wireless keyboard With the introduction of its Universal Wireless keyboard, PalmOne shows it can play nice with others, namely its Windows Mobile counterparts: HP, Dell, and Toshiba. The $70 keyboard works via infrared technology and...

Compact design; works with Palm and Pocket PCs.

Keyboard slide mechanism not the smoothest; flimsy PDA stand.

Travel-friendly and easy to use, the PalmOne Universal keyboard gets you tapping, whether you dance to Palm or Pocket PC.

PalmOne Universal Wireless keyboard

The PalmOne Universal keyboard loves both Palm and Pocket PCs, and we love it.

Compact design ; Works with Palm and Pocket PCs

Keyboard slide mechanism not the smoothest ; Flimsy PDA stand

Overall, the keys are well sized and spacious, with an 18mm key pitch and a 2.5mm key travel. They aren't quite as roomy as the Targus or the Stowaway's, and some users with larger fingers may occasionally hit the wrong key. We like that there are...

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

This keyboard is excellent for entering text, it's so much faster than graffiti or the on-screen keyboard. It has a number row up top so you don't have to deal with that FN-key weirdness just to type a number. (I had one of those tri-fold keyboards for...

Massive geek-chic appeal. PDA & keyboard are much lighter than a laptop, but nearly as good for entering a lot of text. Keyboard key response is good

The keyboard layout departs from a standard QWERTY layout for some keys. Can't connect power cord while using the keyboard on the Zire 72

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

I am using this with a Treo 650 and it is very unreliable. It comes with driver 1.05 but there is an update to 1.08 on Palmone's website. Neither driver works good. When I am in the sms program, it sends double messages and turns the caplocks on....

Nice design, very compact

Works intermittently, Flimsy IR Arm

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

I bought this keyboard to complement my Treo 650 and enable me to take notes in class as I would with a laptop. The keyboard is definitely well-engineered, folding up to be about the same size as the PDA. Also, under about 2 months of heavy use (about...

compact, ingenious design, exceptional battery life, seems to be holding up well

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

I returned a keyboard and traded in my Treo before finding out that this device simply doesn't work with the 650. It skips input, doesn't register the shift and function keys when it's not in the mood, and generally annoys the bejeezus out of 650...

It's a terrific keyboard in almost every way. It's easy to haul around, set up, and use

It doesn't work with the Treo 650

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

I don't know why everyone's fussing about it being troublesome to set up. I have a Tungsten T5. All I needed to do was download the lastest driver from the palm website and follow the directions. DONE! Just make sure you don't use the driver that's...

Compact, lightweight, easy to set up if you go to their website. Great for taking notes in class or surfing the web

A bit small for my hands but that's why it's portable. Drains battery of handheld because it uses the IR signal

Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard

It is very nice and compact keyboard. It is more difficult to type compare to notebook or desktop keyboard. But that's what I am expecting. The onlything I concerns, folding mechanism is very nice but it might be fragile in a year or two.

Works fine

Not weakness till now
