Alienware Aurora m9700 laptop reviewed

Hot Hardware had the envious position of being able to test out one of Alienware's latest gaming laptops, the SLI-enabled Aurora m9700. As you would expect, the system performed really well, thanks to the dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS 256MB graphics...

Alienware Aurora m9700

The acid-green Alienware Aurora m9700 comes with SLI nVidia graphics that can't be beat. But its lack of a dual-core processor may hamper its overall performance.

I ; like the green, but you might feel differently. SLI graphics. Plenty of RAM. Full-fledged Media Center.

Single-core processor. Noisy mouse buttons.

Alienware M9700 Review

First and foremost, Alienware makes a very attractive computer. From the glowing alien head to the high gloss paint, you know you have a beast on your hands. As I said, almost every component is upgradable. Here is the configuration I opted for, the...

Gorgeous design ; Sli technology ; Stunning screen and resolution ; The Alienware brand name

Price ; Shipping costs ; Touchpad ; Battery life on the short side ; Single core processor

The Alienware M9700 is a full featured, high performance gaming notebook. It has handled every program I have thrown at it with ease, with only one GPU enabled mind you (Windows Vista does not support SLI graphics yet, a driver will be along shortly)....

Review Alienware Aurora m9700 Notebook

Watch out 17 inch WUXGA Display, maximum resolution 1920x1200 Pix ...

Robust case, A variety of interfaces and their order, Flashy design, color can be selected, High resolution display with good contrast, Top graphical performance, Fast hard disk, Good sound system with a variety of ports

Smaller weaknesses in workmanship, Unergonomic position of the keyboard, Floating properties of the touch pad, The display's moderate brightness and stability to the vantage point, High temperature and noise emissions, Low battery runtime

In total the Alienware Aurora m9700 impressed us. What would Mr. Spock call it: "Faszinating…" - and he is right

With the m9700, Alienware introduces its' first SLI notebook for all gaming enthusiasts. The m9700 that Techwarelabs received came equiped with an AMD Turion 64 Mobile Processor ML44 at 2.4GHz 800MHz front side bus and 1MB of L2 Cache (we will discuss...

The Alienware m9700 as configured for Techwarelabs review is very powerful, even with the AMD Turion 64 single processor made for laptops. The SLI gaming performance of this laptop rivals those of desktop systems quite easily. The SLI performance,...

Alienware Aurora m9700 Notebook with SLI and RAID

Alienware is the first to market with a SLI and RAID capable notebook. Is the premium price of the Aurora m9700 worth the extra features or are we better off sticking to a desktop for gaming in SLI?

Alienware Aurora m9700 SLI laptop review

So is Alienware lying then, or is there something wrong with the Aurora m9700 SLI configuration? I do not believe Alienware is lying, and I do not believe there is anything wrong with the Aurora m9700. SLI is working correctly as I proved with the FSAA...
