ASUS Chromebook Flip review: small, solidly built, well-priced

The Chromebook Flip is notable for being one of the lightest Chrome OS laptops on the market. Its versatile and convertible design, solid build quality and affordable price also help set it apart from the pack. The smaller-than-average keyboard will be...

Surprisingly good build quality ; Versatile design ; Exceptionally lightweight ; Long battery life ; Aggressively priced

Keyboard cramped compared to larger Chromebooks ; Weaker processor than in competing models ; Display prone to wash-out

As I said from the outset, you'll be hard-pressed to find another Chromebook with this kind of convertible design. Lenovo had the similar N20p , for example, but it got lukewarm reviews and is no longer available on the company's site. That leaves a...

Asus Chromebook Flip (C100PA-DB02)

The Asus Chromebook Flip (C100PA-DB02) blends the best elements from other designs into a single Chrome-based laptop with a slick, convertible form factor, fast performance, all-day battery life, and an affordable price.

Rockchip RK3288C processor provides impressive performance. Long battery life in testing. Aluminum construction and convertible design. Touch screen.

Display resolution is lower than that of most other chromebooks.

Conclusion Ultimately, as I've said before, the Asus Chromebook Flip (C100PA-DB02) is like the Google Chromebook Pixel in miniature, and is also a lot less expensive. From the aluminum construction to the convertible design, from the Rockchip-powered...

Asus Chromebook Flip review

Spending between $200 and $300 on a Chromebook usually gets you a hunk of plastic that's decent enough at running a web browser, editing Google Docs, watching Netflix, and playing Spotify. Asus is...

Incredible build quality for the price ; Flipping the screen is useful ; Strong battery life

Cramped keyboard ; Huge bezel ; Average performance

Asus Chromebook Flip C100 review: A Chromebook with hybrid chops

The Chrome OS Asus Flip C100 has a slow processor but very long battery life.

The inexpensive Asus Chromebook Flip C100 has an aluminum body, touchscreen, hybrid hinge, and more than a dozen hours of battery life.

Touchscreen response could be better, and the Rockchip CPU performs slowly in some tests. The lowest-end Windows PCs can cost even less.

A Chromebook that manages to add hybrid features without driving up the price, the Asus Flip C100 trades speed for long battery life.

Asus Chromebook Flip

Of late, we've seen an increasing number of low-cost computers that offer a relatively full-featured Windows experience for the same or less than many Chromebooks. These include the $199 HP Stream 11 laptop, the $179 Intel Compute Stick and others. To...

Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA-DB01 Convertible Review

Luxury for less than $300. The C100PA Chromebook Flip is the latest model to borrow the 360-degree hinge design from Lenovo's Yoga series. But with sleek aluminum construction, a comfortable keyboard, and a remarkably affordable price point, there's a...

Sleek aluminum build which somewhat resembles that of a high-end Ultrabook, Metal casing is sturdier than the typical plastic, Lightweight and very portable, Tablet/notebook transitions are quick and seamless, IPS screen with excellent viewing angles...

CPU performance is fairly mediocre, Lack of USB 3.0, Slightly shrunken keyboard with high actuation force requires some adjustment, Middling 1280x800 screen resolution, Parts replacements are limited to battery and speakers

There’s a whole lot to like about Asus’ latest Chromebook contender. The C100PA Chromebook Flip combines a number of tantalizing features to produce a package which seems quite generous given the low asking price of just $249. For starters, you’ll get...

ASUS ChromeBook Flip Review : tiny hero, shiny and chrome

Witness this - a web-browser notebook that flips back into a tablet, made with metal, sporting a touchscreen, that won't break your bank. That's what ASUS has up for grabs with the ASUS Chromebook Flip (C100) . This is like the first in a line of...

This Chromebook is pretty gosh-darned nice. ASUS did the right thing giving it a name that allows it to stand alone as a unique brand in and of itself – the Chromebook Flip. First of its name. At either $250 or $300, depending on RAM (as outlined...

ASUS Chromebook Flip review: A high-quality hybrid with great battery life

If you're comfortable working in Google's cloud, the Chromebook Flip is a nicely designed and attractively priced 2-in-1 hybrid that delivers impressive battery life.

Great design ; Good keyboard ; Excellent battery life ; Two USB 2.0 ports ; 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years

Heavy and awkward in tablet mode ; Low-resolution 10-inch screen ; Some will find the keyboard cramped ; Proprietary charge connector

Asus’ Chromebook Flip looks and feels great, unless you’re typing on it

Review: $250 convertible Chromebook compromised by cramped keyboard.

Every budget Chromebook has one or two upsides balanced by one or two downsides. In the Flip’s case, excellent construction and a nice screen are countered by a cramped keyboard and, to a somewhat lesser extent, mediocre performance.
