Poorly made hardware and sluggish performance get in the way of what could have been a great value internet device.

The problem is not with the idea, however, but the hardware and software it’s running on - it simply isn’t powerful enough to deliver the modern web in a convincing way.

Very light and portable. Easy to use, simple interface. Fast initial load. Good basic word processing and spreadsheet apps. Includes games. Strong, durable.

Painfully slow internet speed (takes about a minute to load a webpage on GPRS) Loses WiFi connection easily. Freezes very frequently. Struggles to cope with the simple things eg: drop down menus, typing a web address. Goes very pixelated even when...

Lovely theory: but very user UN-friendly. It doesn't use "standard" programs, so it's a bit like reading Dutch, thinking it's German and wondering why you can't understand. It gets "stuck" frequently. The resolution is very poor, so if you try to zoom...

it looks really cute. I bought it for my 9 year old as a birthday present and he loved how small and stylish it was.

It's painfully slow. I'd read reviews that said speed wasn't it's strong point but I didn't expect it to be anything like as tedious as it is. Put it this way, my son only uses it to play games on. For anything else he uses my netbook or the pc because...
