Dell Latitude E5510

At first blush, Dell's E5510 Latitude notebook PC is a little on the pricey side. The configuration we tested--which includes 3GB of RAM (2.75GB usable by the 32-bit Windows 7), a 320GB hard drive, integrated graphics, and a crisp 1600-by-900...

Excellent keyboard and very good display ; Custom configuration options for small businesses

No eSATA or digital video output ; Pricey for what you get; no discrete graphics

Dell's Latitude E5510 offers new CPU options in the company's low-end 15-inch business line, but for better prices, watch for sales.

Dell Latitude E5510

That said, the gunmetal gray hue is as bland as the black of the ThinkPad series. Of all the enterprise-class laptops, the aluminum-clad HP 8440w is the best-looking. At 6.1 pounds (with the 9-cell battery), the Dell E5510 is more desktop replacement...

Inexpensive, for the Latitude line. Durable chassis. Excellent keyboard. Soft mouse buttons. The 1,600 by 900 resolution. Good processor for the money. Huge battery delivered 7 hours

No HDMI or DisplayPort. Heavy

The affordable Dell Latitude E5510 business laptop comes complete with a durable frame, excellent user experience, and the performance you would expect from a Latitude.

Review Dell Latitude E5510 Notebook

Standard. That's how Dell describes its Latitude E5xxx series.

Good application performance; Battery Options; Useful battery life; Docking Port; Matte screen

Active fan; Temperature under load; 3D performance

15-inchers for professional office use, such as the Thinkpad Edge 15 from Lenovo, the Acer TravelMate 5740Z, the Fujitsu LifeBook A530, Samsung P580 Pro Penfield, ...

Dell Latitude E5510 review

While even that seems a bit much compared with similarly equipped consumer laptops, the Dell Latitude E5510 offers a number of perks useful in a business environment. Customers buying add-ons can have units customized with specific business...

Overall, the Dell Latitude E5510 epitomises the "get the job done" orientation of business laptops. While pricey, the actual value isn't in a single notebook, but in multi-unit custom configurability, easy system management, and simple interchange of...

Great laptop for the price.

It comes without Windows 7 actually "installed", but you just have to tell it to install it. Then you have to download many, many, many, updates to get it current with Windows Update. But that is what is to be expected with any new installation.

Excellent physical condition, works as it should

I don't have any cons

Decent Price, Mediocre Workmanship

Good laptop, this model has a serial port

Wouldn't boot (No Boot device found), took it apart and found the hard drive wasn't secured in place (screws missing). Checked all the other screws, most were loose. Laptop is refurb, but I expected it to at least work. Also, dirty, wasn't cleaned out...

Zero Tech Support

Nice computer, non existent support.

Was shipped with 4 GB of RAM, even though I bought it with only 2. My gain, for once

I had to call for tech support over the Christmas weekend, as the WiFi drivers were not installed. Of course, I had to leave a voicemail. No one returned my call. I downloaded the drivers from my desktop, put them onto a flash drive, and installed...
