Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L Tilt-Shift Lens

The Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L Tilt-Shift Lens is (currently) Canon's only L Series Tilt-Shift lens. It is a great choice for architecture and wide landscape photography

CA (Chromatic Aberration) is a bit of a weakness for the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L Tilt-Shift Lens - especially in the corners on a full frame body. CA becomes more noticeable as the lens is tilted/shifted. Slight light fall-off is noticeable through f/4...

Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens

The Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens is light in weight and light on your wallet. If you want a Canon zoom lens and can't spend a lot of money, the 24-85 is a reasonable choice for a 1.6x FOVCF DSLR

Weighing less than 1 lb (13.4 oz / 380g) and measuring (2.9" x 2.7" / 73.0mm x 69.5mm DxL) when retracted, the Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens is an easy-to-take-with-you lens.

Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Reviews

The Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens is an ultra-wide zoom lens with portrait-length telephoto capability. By having multiple lens groups move during zooming, the lens was made compact and lightweight. The Ashperical element suppresses distortion....

It is a great lens with outstanding contrast and acceptable sharpness throughout all the aperture ranges. It is tack sharp especially in f/8. I like most the contrast and tone of this lens and I sold my 28-105mm and 50mm as I got really good results...

Canon TS

It costs a fortune (US$ 1100) and weighs a half-kilo. It's not sharp, being an SLR ultra-wide-angle in addition to spreading its meagre resolution across a medium-format image circle. However, you already know the TS-E lenses tilt and shift, so you're...

Canon EF 24-85/3.5-4.5 Lens

Though its image circle will cover a 35mm negative, this is the lens Canon introduced with its EOS IX APS SLR. When used with the smaller APS format, it yields angles of view equivalent to that of 30-106mm lens on a 35mm camera. Aperture ranges from a...

Like the Minolta lens, the Canon zoom takes a bayonet plastic lens hood; unlike Minolta, Canon does not include the hood with the lens. That's a shame because a lot of amateurs won't know how to order the accessory part EW-73 and will never know how...

Product Specifications

This is a very lightweight and compact zoom lens for its almost 7X zoom ratio. It is the first ever EF 28 to 200mm, made possible by the five group design with all five groups moving during zooming. It achieves the high zoom ratio while keeping the number of optical elements to a minimum by using two aspherical elements. Inner focusing using the second lens group gives focusing to 0.45m at all focal lengths and maximum magnification of 0.28X at 200mm. Inner focusing combined with the USM focusing motor give silent, high-speed focusing. Another advantage is that front-mounting accessories, especially polarizing (PL) filters are much easier to use since the lens does not rotate while focusing, The silver ring at the front of the zoom ring presents high-quality appearance, and the optical system uses only environmentally friendly lead-free glass.
