For close-ups--this is the best lense I've ever used. When I put the extender in pace, it is so amazing, I feel like I am back in microbiology lab. The close up of my dog's nose is so beautiful I wish I could share it here.

I am new to DSLRs and this lens has done very well for me. The images are sharp and just what I wanted. Some look like micrographs. I would highly recommend this lens.

I really love this lens for portraits. The pictures are super sharp with good contrast. Good build. The AF is silent, quick and sharp. Performs really well in low light situations.
