Apple LED Cinema Display (24-inch)

While performance is excellent, the Apple LED Cinema Display's one connection option paints it into a small corner that is welcoming only to newer MacBook owners.

Incredible performance in DisplayMate tests; games and movies look great; clean design; good viewing angle; built-in camera and mic; phenomenal sound from built-in speaker.

Complete lack of connection options that would allow you to connect to a PC or older Mac; dearth of ergonomic features.

Apple Thunderbolt Display

The Apple Thunderbolt Display is an incredible-performing and beautiful-looking monitor with a superfast connection, and we recommend it if you own a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac.

The Apple Thunderbolt Display retains the gorgeous screen and features of the Apple Cinema Display, while adding Thunderbolt, FireWire, and Ethernet support.

There's no native compatibility option with PCs or older, non-Thunderbolt Macs.

Apple LED Cinema Display (27-inch

As a desktop display and USB extender, the 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Display works wonderfully; however, for $1,000, there are better monitors that offer more options, including PC and Mac compatibility.

The Apple LED Cinema Display's high resolution and screen coating gives it not only great performance in movies and games, but also in everyday tasks. The monitor works seamlessly when connected to a recent model MacBook, and provides a charging...

Thanks to Apple's decision to only include a Mini DisplayPort connection, the LED Cinema Display can only be used with Macs from late 2008 and on. Also, the display lacks ergonomic features and more-granular customization options. Some users will not...

Apple LED Cinema Display (27-inch, 2010)

Let's get right to it. If you're considering purchasing the 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Display, know that you'll need a Mac with a Mini DisplayPort connection in order to use it. If you only own a PC or older Mac, you're out of luck.

Apple 27-inch LED Cinema Display Review

I've wanted a higher density, more compact alternative to the 30-inch 2560 x 1600 panels that I've seen for the past 6 years. Apple was the first to intrigue me with the 27-inch iMac, however I didn't need another computer, I just wanted a monitor....

I think the more compact 27-inch form factor is the right package to deal with greater than 1080p resolutions. Thirty inch monitors are great if you need more than 1920 x 1200 on a single panel but they’re bulky and don't have a particularly great...

Apple 27-inch LED Cinema Display Review - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

Recently Apple presented us with an alternative. An LED backlit, 27-inch Cinema Display similar to what's used in the new iMac but without the Mac part. Priced at $999 it's actually $100 cheaper than the Dell, but lacks the input flexibility of the...

Apple LED Cinema Display

Apple's new LED Cinema Display is the company's first display designed specifically for use with its laptop line.

Excellent viewing angle ; Single three-headed cable provides power, USB 2.0 connectivity and signal

Settings not easily customizable ; No swivel, pivot, or height adjustment ; Works only with Apple's latest laptops

The LED Cinema Display represents many firsts for Apple: the company's first LED backlit stand-alone display, the first external display designed specifically for Apple laptops, and the first Apple monitor to sport the company's proprietary Mini...
