HTC Thunderbolt review

At a quick glance, without any background information, your eyes might tell you that the HTC Thunderbolt is little more than a Verizon remake of Sprint's

Surreal data speeds ; Typical HTC design, build quality ; Improved camera

Thick, heavy ; Questionable battery life ; Single-core in a dual-core age

HTC ThunderBolt ( Verizon Wireless)

The HTC ThunderBolt offers incredibly fast 4G data speeds. The Android 2.2 smartphone also supports simultaneous voice and data over 3G and boasts a large 4.3-inch touch screen, ample storage, and an excellent camera.

Battery life takes a big hit when using 4G. There is no way to toggle between 3G and 4G.

The HTC ThunderBolt lights up with blazingly fast data speeds, but those who want 4G now should be aware that it takes a big toll on the smartphone's battery life.

HTC ThunderBolt Review: When 'Tried And True' Meets 'New And Blazing Fast'

Well, it's finally here - after almost as many rumored (and subsequently unmet) release dates as the Notion Ink Adam, the HTC ThunderBolt has finally gone on sale. But with a sky-high $250 price tag and essentially the same hardware as the rapidly...

HTC ThunderBolt Review by Taylor

After countless delays and months of rumors and leaks, Verizon's HTC ThunderBolt is finally available and is delivering some of the fastest wireless speeds we have ever seen here at PhoneDog. The ThunderBolt may be Verizon's first phone capable of...

Large, bright display; 32GB microSD card pre-installed; great build quality; LTE speeds are fantastic; loud, clear speaker; Sense 2.0 gives Android a very polished feel; great camera for both stills and HD video

Very poor battery life; Messaging app glitches often; can't use kickstand in landscape while charging; a tad on the bulky/chunky side; high contracted price tag

The ThunderBolt is a great device for both first-time smartphone buyers and veterans alike. If you can get past the less-than-stellar battery life, the ThunderBolt has numerous high points and offers one of the smoothest Android experiences to date. It...
