Microsoft SideWinder X3 Mouse

The SideWinder X3, Microsoft's newest gaming mouse, skimps on bells and whistles but delivers 2,000-dpi performance and on-the-fly resolution changes.

Ambidextrous. Affordable. Instant sensitivity adjustments

No horizontal scrolling. Thumb button built for long thumbs

Microsoft Sidewinder x3 Gaming Mouse

In the past I have reviewed multiple Microsoft Sidewinder products including the X5 and X8 mice. I was impressed with the performance and features of both specifically with the wireless X8. The only problem is not everyone can afford to throw down the...

Microsoft set out to bring out a budget gaming mouse that anyone could afford. On that note they defiantly succeeded. With a MSRP of 39.99 the Sidewinder X3 is a good value and I'm sure that price will only go down in time. If you are left handed this...

SideWinder X3 Mouse

Though Microsoft's Sidewinder line of PC peripherals are always solidly respectably, resolutely functional, the new SideWinder X3 Mouse just doesn't cut muster when stacked up against the many similar offerings available from other performance...

At forty bucks US, fifty Cdn, Microsoft's SideWinder X3 Mouse is certainly "affordable" - a tad pricier than a "regular" mouse but less than most gamer-class pointing devices, which run from about $50 up to some $150 for the hardcore Uber rodents.

Review: Microsoft SideWinder X3 Mouse

Microsoft recently unveiled the latest addition to the SideWinder line, the new SideWinder X3 Mouse. Designed for convenient use by both left- and right-handed folks, it comes in a smaller shape as well, along with plenty of control features for gaming

Microsoft SideWinder X3 Gaming Mouse Review

Gaming mice tend to be expensive if you go with high-end products. The problem with high-end gaming mice is that they are almost exclusively right hand only designs meaning that left-handed gamers are left out. With the current economy many gamers...

Microsoft Sidewinder X3 gaming mouse

An entry-level Microsoft gaming mouse for left- and right-handed users

Precise and speedy performance, ambidextrous design, programmable controls, affordable price

Lacking in 'wow' factor, DPI sensitivity could be higher, 'budget gaming mouse' is a bit of an oxymoron

The Microsoft Sidewinder X3 is a stripped-down alternative to the Sidewinder X5. While a few bells-and-whistles are gone, its performance is on par with its sibling. It will mainly appeal to cash-strapped and/or left-handed gamers (in fact, feel free...

Microsoft Sidewinder X3 review

Microsoft's Sidewinder X3 is one of the few gaming mice with a symmetrical design that's suited to both left- and right-handed people.

A decent replacement mouse for use on the desktop, but it's gaming features are rather lacklustre. There are many better gaming mice.

Perfectly Good

Mice tend to fit different people's hands differently. My hand is pretty small. If your hand is big, it just might work out.

Good, solid scroll wheel. Has all of the other good benefits of a quality mouse, high dpi etc

The left button, not mouse button, the mouse 4 button, is a little far away from my thumb and its hard to reach. Feels a little lighter than I like
