Microsoft TrackBall Optical

Every computer user knows that using a classic mouse is painful and can even causes wrist pain (after intensive hours of use) that imply some breaks needed to be taken: the exact opposite of productivity those today businesses need. Worst working with...

Comfort of use ; Cool dark design ; Improved IntelliEye technology ; Two programmable buttons ; Exceptional features rich drivers

The trackball shell smells like rubber

The Microsoft TrackBall Optical is a great addition to the vast and astonishing Microsoft hardware family. Microsoft once again (it becomes habit) revolutionized the computing world by revamping the TrackBall concept making this device almost...

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop - Review

First impressions are that the keyboard is big: 455mm wide by 235mm deep (this increases to 270mm if you add the optional wrist support). It also stands tall - 55mm at it's highest point. The mouse is a good size, a simple enough shape but comfortable...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

I don't think there is a worse mouse on the planet.

Win7Pro 64 - Please note that I did not purchase this on Newegg, I went to a nearby Box store because I needed a wired mouse asap, and this is all they had. I simply wanted to warn others before they ordered one. You're better off glueing some yarn to...

- none.

- I acknowledge that not everything can be plug-n-play. However, when it takes 4 attempts for the device to be recognized, and then takes 5 minutes for a suitable driver to be found, and it still does not respond correctly, that should have been the...

Repeat Purchase

It is really hard to find a 5+ button mouse that can be fully used by a left-handed person, hopefully MS will continue making this model fro many years.

I purchased this from Newegg because I couldn't find this mouse locally, and I really needed it NOW. I have had one for several years and finally wore it out. Didn't even try to find a different mouse to replace this one, just wanted the same one again.

Nothing

Mouse wheel sucks

It's a mouse, it works, but the wheel has real issues. I buy Microsoft hardware b/c it's generally high quality. This mouse is an exception. The middle mouse wheel has no positive feedback...no clicks or anything...it just spins. And sometimes the...

It works

The mouse wheel is garbage (hardware) and has tracking issues (driver)

Not what I expected

I am going to buy another Microsoft Intellimouse made over 10 years because it is a way better product. No comparison. I would send it back but I did not buy on Newegg, wish I did. under 10 bucks for the mouse but over 10 in shipping & handling on...

Standard size mouse, a little bit larger around the edge. Mouse clicks are at an ok volume, not too loud. The side buttons are silent and nicely located. Scroll wheel is silent, smooth and seems to work fine.

The mouse does not track as well as my old intellimouse explorer from early 2000. It is not as comfortable as it looks, the shape is not refined. When I pick the mouse up it moves the cursor up on the screen, my old mouse did not do that. Overall this...

Meh

Coming from a cheap little laptop mouse I picked up from a drug store in town, that had seen three or more years of use, this mouse barely lasted me a year. It will be consigned to the scrapheap... or maybe that cardboard box filled with old tech that...

It works well enough. It succeeds at moving the cursor around the screen analogous to my hand's motions on the mouse pad.

-Material on the sides, the grippy stuff, gets sticky a while after use (probably from sweat or gunk from food) and this can get gross. Cleaning it is difficult. -The trackwheel on my unit had a rubber liner around it for comfort, which basically...

nice mouse

Great price and works very well with Windows 8.1 and does a fine job at gaming.

Not as sensitive as my Logitech laser mouse on my back up pc. The mouse handles well and works fine with Windows 8.1 pro. Gaming is great on it and the price is also great compared to others.

Not really a con, just have to get used to the forward button on the right side of the mouse as opposed to having the forward and back button on the left side when comparing it to my Logitech laser mouse.

Garbage

Microsoft used to make the worlds most perfect mouse. The intellimouse optical. A stable seller for over a decade. which is an unprecedented amount of time for a peice of computer hardware to still be marketable. All they needed to do was increase the...

Very little

I don't know why they chose the word "comfort" to describe this mouse. It's huge and fat and cantankerous. It's like trying to mouse with a baseball. Not comfortable at all. And I don't know what they did wheel, but it is glitchy as hell. You can set...
