Cowon S9

 

The Cowon S9's slim design and touch screen can't make up for serious design flaws.

Strong audio file support. Touch screen. Built-in accelerometer. Video output. Line-in, FM, and voice recording. Excellent battery life.

Touch screen is not very sensitive. User interface can be difficult to navigate. Volume controls are disabled in some screens. Play/Pause button works only in the Now Playing screen.

Cowon S9

Cowon's S9 portable media player offers a gorgeous OLED touch-screen display, long battery life, and features such as Bluetooth audio, voice recording, FM radio, Flash media support, audio and video playback, a photo viewer, and a text reader.

The Cowon S9's user interface isn't quite as polished as the competition, the plastic construction feels flimsy, and it lacks Wi-Fi, memory expansion, and a standard USB port.

The Cowon S9 is a sexy-looking gadget with exceptional audio and video quality, but its construction quality and user interface pale in comparison to the competition.

We all know iPods have taken over the world, but the Cowon S9 looked like the perfect alternative to the iPod touch for those of you who hate Apple, so I ordered one in.

happened. I have no doubt that somewhere along the line I was doing something wrong (though it's hard to fathom given the dragging and dropping), but no one could spot it. That's disconcerting
