Sporting a prism shaped design and all the basic features you'd expect out of a modern music player, the iRiver T60 is a fairly solid portable music p...

Great sound quality, nice loop functions, equaliser included

Fiddly controls, poor quality screen

Another product in the entry-level MP3 player space, the iRiver T60 has a few control and interface issues. However, its impressive audio quality and relatively robust features list go a long way to make up for that.

iRiver T60 (4GB)

Music players come in all shapes and sizes, but does iRiver's T60 offer more than just a triangular prismatic form?

The downside, though, is average battery life. At around 20 hours from one battery, if you listen to it a lot, things could get quite expensive. Still, you can always buy rechargeables to use when commuting and swap to alkalines when away on holiday.

iRiver T60

A terrific-sounding player, and many will find the use of AAA batteries handy. But the very low-resolution screen doesn't impress and navigating the thing can be tricky at times.

Amazing sound quality ; Using AAA batteries is convenient ; High-quality OGG support

Navigation can be tricky ; Low-res screen

If you're after something as affordable but less Tobleroney, Creative's Zen Stone Plus is sure to appeal. For a great price, the Stone Plus also has sound to kill for.

iRiver - T60

Triangular music players are trendy at the moment and iRiver's T60 is about half the length of the smallest Toblerone. Available in a variety of colours, all three faces of the player are used. The front ...

This is a comparatively simple, flash-based audio player, but with better than average FM radio and record functions. The control system isn't as intuitive as with some players and the player could really benefit from a better quick start guide. Once...

Reasonably good sound. Decent weight. Records well.

see comments & triangle shape makes it easy to see screen when on table

Short battery life only a few hours. Refuses to record or to take in form computer when battery is down to 1/3 of "full" as on screen ; The joy stick is designed to drive you crazy. You can never be sure if it will do what you want or something else ;...
