JNC SSF-11

The JNC SSF-11 is based on a good overall concept but comes up lacking in the execution of most features.

Host of features in one unit, including MP3 player, voice recorder, FM radio, file storage, etc

Cryptic user controls ; Limited storage capability (128MB) ; Proprietary software required to transfer files

Difficult to understand user interface (e.g. hold down the RADIO button for 5 seconds to switch it on??? Weird).

The proprietary file format seem very space efficient. For example, I recorded a consultation that went for over 2 hours. The resulting file was only about 7 MB. When converted to WAV format it blew out to 25 MB. Having said that, it would be far...

I have gone through about a dozen AAA batteries on this even though I haven't used it extensively. This is because unless you remember to slide the HOLD switch across, the device is prone (when in my briefcase) to switching itself on. The next time you...

JNC SSF-11 Review - MP3 Players

USB 2.0, - Onboard playlist creation, - Very long battery life, - Host of features in one unit, including MP3 player, voice recorder, FM radio, file storage, etc.

Steep learning curve for touch scroll, - No OLED display, - No built-in FM tuner, - Cryptic user controls, - Limited storage capability (128MB), - Proprietary software required to transfer files
