Samsung YP-F1 XB MP3 Player

In the past we've looked at many MP3 players from Samsung. These have ranged in size from big to small, and capacities from small flash-based players to large hard drive models. Today we're looking at the YP-F1 XB, which is a player from their newer...

Compact size ; Good sounding ; FM Radio ; Built-in clip

No key lock ; Small screen ; Only 512mb of storage space ; Metal clip and ring scratches surfaces easily

Overall if you are looking for an inexpensive MP3 player to provide you with some easy listening while on the go, then the Samsung YP-F1 XB will definitely do the job. However, if you're someone who has a large music collection and likes to take a...

Samsung YP-F1Z

The Samsung YP-F1Z is a compact MP3 player that looks outstanding and features great sound quality. Don't be fooled by its size; inside the beetle-sha...

Small size, good sound quality, rocker switch

Controls not raised enough, no hold button, you can't listen and charge simultaneously, poor battery life

The YP-F1Z is a great option for those looking for a stylish and compact MP3 player with very good sound quality. But it is let down by poor controls and some annoying downfalls.

Samsung YP-F1 (256MB)

Despite an overcrowded market brimming with flash MP3 players, the YP-F1 has enough going for it to warrant much interest.

Adequate sound tweaking options ; Tiny design ; Good audio performance

Tacky battery life ; Stodgy buttons

Good things come in small packages

I initially had some problems getting my PC to recognize the player when hooking up the USB connection, however I suspect this to be related to USB problems with my motherboard, not the player. It's not the first USB device to give me problems... The...

The player is very small, yet very well designed. Even with the small screen size, the interface is very clean, easy to read, and simple to use ; The player supports folders, to help keep your music organized ; It has a recording feature that can be...

The headphones shipped with the unit aren't all that great, but no surprise there. I use a pair of $20 Sony earbuds with it instead, which sound much better ; I have no earthly idea how it decides what order to play songs in. I'm very meticulous about...

Nice player But....

This unit was not purchased threw newegg but from a store. This is a replacement from a Samsung YP-T7Z which I had to return for a faulty USB internal connector. I'll keep the unit, every other part of it works to my satifaction.

Other reviewers are posting good points so I won't add anything

FM radio broke on this unit only after about one week. I Scaned up and down the dial and get no sound, locked onto stations but no audio. Tried a couple weeks later it started to work. Next day was broke again ; Over one month later I tried the radio...

great mp3 player for an active lifestyle

this player is overall a great value, sounds nice, and is very cool, I did think it was odd that data was sent using the headphone jack, but whatever, its a cool player for very active people who don't care about very high capacities

this player is great, it sounds very good, but the best part about this player is the size, I also love the belt clip, I like to just clip it on my pants and go

two downsides to the player, battery life is 10 hours, not really a problem for me, but it could be for others, and transfering using software is slow, but drag and drop w/ windows is faster and easier

SAMSUNG Black 512MB MP3 Player YP-F1X

With more comfortable headfones I would like to have given it a 5, but as it is I have to give it a 4.5. I like the rechargeable battery, but you can't play while you are recharging. Sound quality to me is excellent. Maybe I'm old, but it's hard to...

Good sound; nice features

average headfones ; can't play while recharging

Good small mp3 player recommended for certain people only

I bought this mp3 player after going through several others over the years. I paid $92 at Circuit City in March 2006 (I didn't shop around much since my previous mp3 player broke and I needed a new one). I work out 4-5 times a week (lifting weights, ...

Small, lightweight, metal clip, plenty of memory (for me)

Small buttons, internal battery, adequate battery life (with poor indication), adequate-at-best volume
