Great OS drive

Paired with a Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z5S mobo, and this little guy really flies. Boot time from cold into Windows 7 about 15 seconds, even after a year of use. Things to remember when using SSD as OS. 1) Make sure AHCI mode is set in BIOS 2) If possible,...

Still alive and chugging over a year later as my primary OS drive ; I've put it through multiple formats and OS installs, and takes everything in stride ; I think it performs faster than the speeds its rated for, never had to update firmware

none that I found

Stopped working

Long 3 year warranty ; Fast ; Fit perfectly in my Dell laptop unlike another brand mSATA drive I tried ; Worked perfectly for almost sixty days

Quit after less than two months ; Despite the claimed 3 year warranty, Mushkin still refuses to provide an RMA

A Decent Economy SSD

I had owned this drive for a little over a year and one day Windows, upon booting, warned me one of my drives was failing. I was in shock once I found out it was this SSD (my OS drive) that it was referring to. At first I thought it must have been some...

Cheap ; Solid State ; Good Customer Support

There may be some drives out there experiencing premature failures but this happens to every manufacturer. It probably also isn't the fastest SSD out there even in this price range but it's still faster than a regular platter disk and works well enough...

Good, while it worked

This could be a great value drive, if it weren't for the dying within 4 months. This is the first time I've had anything from newegg carp out on me.

It worked well while i did. Installed easily, had no problems

It's dead within 4 months of buying it. This seems to be a consistent problem. It's got the SandForce firmware ; It still powers and shows up in bios, but only as SandForce, and no OS can see it. Happened all of a sudden with no warning

Low-lifespan cells, failed at ~4 months

Get the Deluxe version, the cells WAY longer.

Fast, easy firmware updates

Today, March 24 2015 this SSD failed after only 4 months, and I had to spend all morning repairing my rig ; S.M.A.R.T. attribute "SSD Life Remaining" drops MUCH faster than my other SSDs (including a Mushkin Chronos DX). After only about 4 months, SSD...

Not as fast as you think sadly

don't recomend buying, the write speed is horrible, recommend from personal use the Kingston 120gb ssd for a similar price ssd. its a good cheap well performing ssd for a boot drive.

good price, average to good seq read speeds

i liked mushkin products but when doing windows updates and installs this ssd was very slow for a ssd, crystal disk mark showed good read times that are close to what they advertised witch is fine im not going to picky but the write times were soo bad...

Rma process a joke

They may claim to have a warranty but they are in fact kidding.

none

After making several attempts to contact them though their customer support dept. and getting no response. I attempted to call them. They sent me back to open another ticket online. Which gets no response. A vicious circle

great performance

The Mushkin performance has been good and haven't had any problems with it. System picked it up right away. If on a budget this will do nicely paired with a platter drive for storage, also as a secondary OS drive but if you can swing it, i'd recommend...

Use this in a dual boot setup running win 8.1u1 and its plenty fast. Once you use an ssd you can't go back to booting off platter drives. Samsung and crucial might be considered the fastest ssd's out there but the truth is just about any ssd is a...

Price per gigabyte still has a long way to go truly hit that per GB sweet spot but that is true of ssd's in general

Long Term Update

Not a bad drive, but I'm certainly not impressed with the degradation of this thing so early. For a drive like mine that has seen nothing but windows and one handful of programs its entire lifetime, this thing should run full steam ahead for years to...

This drive has treated me well, has been responsive, and has been relatively fast early in its life. It took my MSI gaming laptop to new heights when originally purchased

Drive now runs hot constantly...generally 51* C at idle, often over 60 after a fresh boot ; Drive has slowed down tremendously. I have windows installed on my HDD just in case this thing crashes, and the speed difference between the two is now hardly...

Makes a wonderful boot drive.

This makes booting up SO MUCH FASTER. It takes less than 5 seconds to boot up, even with Windows 7. This makes a wonderful boot drive, and even to put a few programs on here

My OCD is telling me: "Why is it a 120GB drive? 120 isn't binary, YOU ARE UNDER MY CONTROL!" Seriously, I have nothing
