Disappointing

I was excited to buy this for my brand new notebook to replace the existing hard drive. Installing was as easy as can be, very similar to installing RAM in notebooks, and then removing the hard drive. After installing a fresh version of Windows 8.1 and...

Inexpensive

Slower than acclaimed speed

hard to "break"

I have this mushkin 120GB since a few years back when it was selling at around $250 plus tax at the time. This poor mushkin SSD was constantly being abused by me and I haven't found a way to "break" it yet. It was firstly upgraded for my pc as a...

can't break it

Worked well for ~16 months

Well, I've been using this for a bit over a year since I purchased in April 2013 (it's now August 2014). It worked well, but randomly for no apparent reason it failed. Computer does not complete POST when drive is plugged in, boots just fine when drive...

Quite fast

failed after a year

It does the job, not the best.

First off...eh ; Worth the money but the highest read/write I got in a benchmark was 280 read and only 101 write... Not very impressive for an SSD...but I mean, it's inexpensive and because it's an SSD it won't frag, definitely boots a lot faster than...

Everything really explained in the pros

Its ok

I have only used mushkin ssd's. however this is the first one i have got that is not a DX or MX, and i could tell the difference as soon as the install. boots about the same, speeds about the same, but there is an ever so slight latency or something...

mushkin reputation, fast, price has really come down on these in the last 6 months to a year

Trusted SSD

so far no problem, installed on two i3 laptops. low power consumption and fast read/write speed. only took maybe 2hrs to do full win 7 install +sp1 updates and so on. with regular hhd took me more than 6hrs to do full updates with fresh install.

Very fast for the price compare to the other brands. reliable

Fastest and cheapest

I've ordered several of these for IT clients, I've had only 1 come in DOA - but Newegg is great help with that

I have compared the speeds of many SSD's and this has the best cost I've seen. Not only is it the best cost, but it beats out speeds from OCZ, Corsair, Intel, and Samsung

Great upgrade for Laptop

I'm considering getting the second hard drive caddy for my laptop and getting a second drive for it.

I purchased this as an upgrade for my E6430 laptop. It's made a perfect addition to the system and has really helped speed up the system, decrease power draw and reduce risk of data loss

No problems

The biggest "pro" is that there are no significant "cons." Restored an Acronis backup of a boot drive to it, hooked it up and it ran. I've done a lot of playing with it -- different operating systems, etc. -- and I've had no problems

Comes with no instructions, and nothing on the outside of the package makes any suggestions about how to install and use SSDs. Fortunately, there's the internet
