It does what the manufacturer claims

It shreds well, but overheats after 10-15 minutes of steady use. My only beef is that this and all of the other shredders that I found for home use have 8.5-9.0 inch slots. It would be nice if the slots were more like 11 inches to handle oversize paper...

Good Till It Died

I was in a hurry yesterday and accidentally exceeded its max capacity. Something snapped and it let out a large shriek when the motor started free-running after the gears broke. Not worth it to repair. Looking for a better built shredder with steel...

Inexpensive, cross-cut shredder. Shreds credit cards. Seemed to work well until the day it died.

No Auto-Stop or Auto-Reverse if it gets jammed. Kind of loud. Mesh basket leaks paper dust. Plastic/Nylon gears.

Good and bad

I am a light user as far as frequency/amount. This product has not lived up to expectations. I am in the market for a new one now and will go with a different manufacturer.

This is an attractive unit that shreds to nice, small pieces

It has never performed to the capacity it is rated for. It bogs down at 3 sheets, and if you put more than that, it will overload

Fellowes P70CM Cross-Cut Shredder

I'm torn; I like the see-through container but it's something I might not want to keep in my room since it creates a ton of dust.

Good shredding style, works quickly

Sounds angry when hungrily eating paper. Fills up fast. The see-through container gets dust/etc everywhere

Not for large shredding jobs.

The Fellowes P70CM Shredder works okay for small shredding at home and that is why I bought it. But if I try to do alot, it will overheat and shut off. Also the mesh basket make look good but it allows paper dust to get all over. I tried using a...

Attractive AND Hard Working

With identity theft always a worry, it's a good thing to be able to shred anything with personal information on it before throwing it into the garbage. Now I feel safe about throwing away these papers. And if I need packaging, the shedded papers work...
