Great shredder

It does what the manufacturer claims

It shreds well, but overheats after 10-15 minutes of steady use. My only beef is that this and all of the other shredders that I found for home use have 8.5-9.0 inch slots. It would be nice if the slots were more like 11 inches to handle oversize paper...

Poor design renders it useless after awhile

The top has a button that must rest on a little metal piece in the waste basket. If it's not sitting just right, you can't activate the mechanism...ie you can't shred. Over time, removing the top and replacing in on the basket, the metal piece will...

works great for the price

I was a little skeptical because of some of the poor reviews, but I haven't had any problems so far and I had to shred quite a bit of stuff. Just be careful to not shred too many papers at once and empty the bin before it gets full.
