MX vs. ATV Untamed

The PS2's age really shows in this completely ugly racer.

Great sense of speed; good online options; lots of race types; very fun monster ski jump

Probably one of the ugliest PS2 games this year; the soundtrack is even worse than the visuals

The vehicle loadout includes a handful of different classes including a decent assortment of 250cc and 550cc bikes and 4 ATV quads to pick from. There are also, Monster Trucks, Sand Rails, Trophy Trucks and Offroad Buggies, though you'll have to earn a...

MX vs. ATV Unleashed

Ars reviews the PC version of MX vs. ATV Unleashed. Is this a quick-and-dirty port from the Xbox or PS2, or is there enough here to make the PC version worthwhile?

One-CD install, Many game modes and types, Excellent pacing, Good online play, Easy to keep running in the background, Robust track editor

Lack of documentation that you need SP2 or the game won't work correctly, Blurry and indistinct ground textures, Lack of customization at beginning of game

MX vs. ATV Unleashed

THQ has really been known quite a bit for their MX series, which have been noted as some of the best in the whole motorcycle racing genre. I must say

Flat out MX vs. ATV Unleashed is a great game. Had the multiplayer been deeper, it would have easily been an editor’s choice. With that being said, if you don’t mind not having online play then this game will be a perfect addition to your gaming...

MX vs. ATV Unleashed

Rainbow Studios and THQ pull up to the starting line again, but this time with a few more vehicles in their garage.

Some of the tightest gameplay in racing; trademark excellence in physics; more vehicles than you can shake a stickshift at

No more custom soundtracks; no more open-world concept; multiplayer could've been better

MX Unleashed

Rainbow Studios and THQ take the tired MX genre to a whole new level. Motocross isn't just for mullets anymore.

Two games in one; excellent graphics; trademark Rainbow physics

Hit or miss (mostly miss) soundtrack; snags in level progression

MX vs. ATV Unleashed () review

Clash of the titans that no-one really cares about

It's nowhere near as exciting as it needs to be, but remains strangely compelling.

MX vs. ATV Unleashed

All problems aside, MX vs. ATV Unleashed is an enjoyable game. It takes a while to get into the groove, but many of the outdoor tracks are rather thrilling to race on.

Lots to do ; Online play

Annoyances ; Some dull tracks

There are a number of other problems that start to grate after a while, such as the excruciatingly long load times and the need to perform tricks to earn points needed to buy new tracks, riders and other things from the store. All problems aside, MX...
