Amazing speed

All and all it was a great choice

This processor is great at all the tasks I throw at it. It was very easy to install. It is worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone

The fan it comes with isnt very good but that's any stock fan so if you buy this get a better heat sink

Fast!

Not quite as fast as other i5's such as the Devil's Canyon 4690k but if you just want a good quadcore at a budget, this is definatley something you should consider.

Great processor for just about everything. From email to gaming this processor is a really good value and will handle most things you throw at it. Also, love how it stays cool and doesn't consume a lot of power. It works just fine with the stock intel...

C2Q to i5

I had a Core 2 Quad Q9450 LGA 775 for my modeling/development rig (plus some odd gaming). My ASUS mobo finally lost the south bridge so an update became necessary. My render load/times aren't up much, but programs start faster, although for financial...

Quicker (not faster, more nimble I think) ; Cooler ; Good price/performance ; Cheesy decals still included (for the campy among us)

Price was good, but this stuff is still expensive ; Useless OEM fan, could have saved $15, maybe

Very fast CPU, Intel makes good CPUs

Overall, I think this CPU was worth it for my needs.

Outstanding performance, I've always expected that from Intel CPUs

Great CPU

I recently purchased this processor to put in a gaming build. It was $20 off at the time which put it in the same price range as some of the i3s and AMD FX83xxs, so I couldn't pass it up. The install process was very easy. I had no issues whatsoever....

I got this on promo. At regular price the cpu is not as great of a deal as the AMD 8 cores that were on sale for insanely low prices on Memorial Day weekend. The FX 8320 was going for like $130. That's a steal. With Intel you're gonna pay more. The...

Better than AMD FX-4xxx/6xxx series processor

integrated intel HD4600 graphics , only use 84W , and faster than AMD equivalent quad core cpu

not a (unlocked) K version but its already fast at default speed (3.1Ghz)

Good Processor

I have another build with the 1230v3 Xeon that's more of a virtualization/experimentation build for my work. Since learning of and using the v2 series of the chip I've always been surprised Intel hasn't applied this same model to at least one of the i5...

This is an absolutely fast processor for the price. Granted I'm a little blown away coming from Core 2 Quad setup so keep that in mind. The processor runs cool and quiet enough on the stock thermal paste and heatsink included. I can see the complaints...

I wholeheartedly trust Intel, they've never let me down with any product but If I'm to be honest any of the i series chips are not cheap compared to the competition. So not really a con normally but when you're trying to make a budget machine it's hard...
