Mitsubishi HC 6800

Very bright., Superb 24p picture., Balanced colours., Silicon Optix video processor., Versatile zoom lens with 2D lens shift.

Blacks show a bluish tint., Average in-picture contrast.

With its bright and sharp pictures, the HC 6800 is ideal for users that want a big picture and like to watch in daylight or only slightly darkened rooms. Simple operation and a versatile set of features add to the list of positives, but the blue-tinted...

Mitsubishi HC6800

But, it's time to discuss the HC6800 itself

A nicely bright 589 measured lumens in "best" mode, allowing use of a slightly larger screen than other LCD projectors ; One of the quietest home theater projectors around ; Excellent color, post calibration, especially skin tones which really do look...

Black level performance, while respectable, would need to be better still to compete with the ultra-high contrast projectors around its price point even though its as good as many others ; Brightest mode should be brighter - just beating 1000 lumens...

And while my wife may not be an enthusiast, you must consider that she does watch a lot - at least 10 hours a week using the Epson in "theater 2"

I didn't expect much from the CTI control, which is designed to increase the crispness of color boundaries. The effect was clearly visible on a color test pattern, with no obvious negative side effects (at least when I used its lowest setting). I left...

Mitsubishi Diamond Series HC6800 LCD Projector Reviewed

Featuring Mitsubishi's most advanced technology the HC6800 LCD projector doesn't quite sit at the top of the Mitsubishi food chain though wouldn't be able to tell by its performance, which Adrienne Maxwell finds to be comprehensive and well above...

The HC6800 performs very well for a projector in the sub-$2,500 price class, but it lacks the performance range you can find when you move to the next price level. As I mentioned above, with darker sources, the HC6800's black level and resulting...

The Mitsubishi HC6800 is a good performer that serves up a pleasingly clean, natural, and detailed image with all different source types. This projector is especially well suited to someone who plans to watch a lot of HDTV content in their theater...
