ViewSonic PJD7820HD

The ViewSonic PJD7820HD is a lightweight, 1080p data projector that does well in showing sharp text.

1080p resolution. Sharp text. Can project 3D content from Blu-ray players. Lightweight. Three-year warranty

Subpar video with significant rainbow effect. Image quality suffers over a VGA connection. Weak audio

The ViewSonic PJD7820HD ($789.99) is a relative rarity, a 1,920 by 1,080 projector that's geared to showing data presentations. It does well in that role, and is good for showing small type, as well as fine detail in drawings. It can project video from...

Viewsonic PJD-7820HD review

I have a little personal rule that I adhere to as a reviewer of consumer electronics: If I don't already know how much a review subject costs before I start evaluating it, I avoid finding out until my review is almost done. Of course, this isn't always...

Extremely bright, suitable for use in bright rooms ; Vivid Colors ; Great 1080p resolution ; Portable, versatile placement ; Outstanding value

Speakers are nearly useless ; Picky remote control IR sensor

If you’ve been looking to get into some big-screen action for under $1,000, Viewsonic’s PJD-7820HD is just the ticket.

Viewsonic PJD7820HD

The PJD7820HD is a $699 projector suitable for business, and home use.

Excellent brightness - measured a maximum of over 3500 lumens ; More than enough brightness at max to handle very large rooms, and handle even 10 foot screens with pretty good color for commercial applications ; Two computer inputs, and a monitor out...

Tabletop setup would be easier if both rear feet were adjustable ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level as a home projector ; On the home side: Lacks CFI for smooth motion (rare on entry level projectors) ; Very...

Impressive. Almost sensational. The Viewsonic PJD7820HD is all about price performance. We consider it to be a typically equipped low cost portable business projector, of the DLP variety, except that we're used to merely WXGA resolution, half the...

ViewSonic PJD7820HD review - HD projector good for business

Keen not to restrict its target audience, ViewSonic also believes the ViewSonic PJD7820HD projector will work effectively in home cinema. However, we'd suggest that the brightness rating of 3000 ANSI lumens is a little too much for the home.

business who need to be able to project large, sharp and extremely accurate video and HD images in a variety of conditions, the PJD7820HD has great specifications and strong performance that belies its £720 price tag.

Great Projector

Good Brand, Good Price and great overall projector

location to mount projector to ceiling was a little different then most others, so make sure the mounting bracket you buy will fit that specific model

Awesome Stuff

I bought two of these with the $50 instant rebate. Which rocked. I have installed them in classrooms and love them. They have good color and a large amount of adjustment which is great when you have a 72" smartboard screen to mate it up to. So far I...

Affordable HD and 3D!

A great machine. Very low energy and it comes with a great warranty. Finally 3D that I can afford. You can find 3D glasses around $20

The only thing I don't like is that you cant change brightness settings when it's in 3D mode. You have to set this up before you go to 3D

Love it

I love it so far. Its 1080p, and while not as good as the w1080st, its close. Its not listed as short throw, but it is. For every foot you move it back from the wall, you get one foot of diagonal image. FYI Theres another one by Acer as well (h6510bd)...

Rainbow effect

Hope Viewsonic will fix this stupid bug

brightness/Cheap

sharpness badly in 1080P 3D 24Hz mode. I just find it work bad in 1080P 3D 24Hz framepaking mode. One Native 1080P projector should output a 1:1 pixel to pixel view when my laptop output a 1920x1080 resolution. This projectoer works well in 2D mode....
