ViewSonic PJD7820HD

The ViewSonic PJD7820HD is a lightweight, 1080p data projector that does well in showing sharp text.

1080p resolution. Sharp text. Can project 3D content from Blu-ray players. Lightweight. Three-year warranty

Subpar video with significant rainbow effect. Image quality suffers over a VGA connection. Weak audio

The ViewSonic PJD7820HD ($789.99) is a relative rarity, a 1,920 by 1,080 projector that's geared to showing data presentations. It does well in that role, and is good for showing small type, as well as fine detail in drawings. It can project video from...

Viewsonic PJD-7820HD review

I have a little personal rule that I adhere to as a reviewer of consumer electronics: If I don't already know how much a review subject costs before I start evaluating it, I avoid finding out until my review is almost done. Of course, this isn't always...

Extremely bright, suitable for use in bright rooms ; Vivid Colors ; Great 1080p resolution ; Portable, versatile placement ; Outstanding value

Speakers are nearly useless ; Picky remote control IR sensor

If you’ve been looking to get into some big-screen action for under $1,000, Viewsonic’s PJD-7820HD is just the ticket.

Viewsonic PJD7820HD

The PJD7820HD is a $699 projector suitable for business, and home use.

Excellent brightness - measured a maximum of over 3500 lumens ; More than enough brightness at max to handle very large rooms, and handle even 10 foot screens with pretty good color for commercial applications ; Two computer inputs, and a monitor out...

Tabletop setup would be easier if both rear feet were adjustable ; Remote control is not backlit ; Black levels are pretty entry level as a home projector ; On the home side: Lacks CFI for smooth motion (rare on entry level projectors) ; Very...

Impressive. Almost sensational. The Viewsonic PJD7820HD is all about price performance. We consider it to be a typically equipped low cost portable business projector, of the DLP variety, except that we're used to merely WXGA resolution, half the...

ViewSonic PJD7820HD review - HD projector good for business

Keen not to restrict its target audience, ViewSonic also believes the ViewSonic PJD7820HD projector will work effectively in home cinema. However, we'd suggest that the brightness rating of 3000 ANSI lumens is a little too much for the home.

business who need to be able to project large, sharp and extremely accurate video and HD images in a variety of conditions, the PJD7820HD has great specifications and strong performance that belies its £720 price tag.

Great for office

So the manager's boss was all about us buying a big 80" plus flat screen, but I doubt we could touch one for what we have invested in this projector. We do NOT use it for viewing movies or broadcast TV. We use it for group viewing of software programs...

The screen is bright and easily visible in a brightly lit room. We were projecting on a beige painted wall for a few months and it was fine; finally installed the proper dimensioned screen (100" 16:9) and it's just as clear. Many adjustments to correct...

I suppose it is not the sleekest looking box, but this is a business and we don't care. It is now hung from the ceiling so no one looks at it much anyhow

Bought this projector 2 years ago when it was $700 and its awesome. day in day out. use it as my main liiving room tv. for hours every day and the bulb still hasnt died. grreat picture quality with directv hd. dont care for 3d

Bulbs are a bit pricey. $72 just the bulb. no housing. compared to my 60" mitsubishi dlp which was only $17 with the housing

decent for a small room

Has a good crisp image with good contrast

It is a rather short throw, so it wouldn't work for my new home. The fan that is in it is exceptionally loud, would require the sound at rather high volumes to cover it up

110" of Glory!

I still give this a 5 as none of the cons actually diminish the viewing experience, mostly they are setup issues or just components of the design that are not optimal. The speakers are fine for down and dirty sound, but i imagine most people will have...

This thing is everything i wanted in a projector for the ~600$ range. It is very bright even on the ECO setting. Works well during the day or with very bright ambient light. I even shined a blindingly bright halogen desk lamp at the image(at ~100"...

The menu is satisfactory but could be arranged a little more intuitively (nitpicking) ; More HDMI ports (i bought a 3x1 switch to compensate) ; there is a simple 10-20$ fix ( im being generous here ViewSonic) that should be implemented ; There is ONE...

Amazing quality for the price

The only drawback that I have with this projector (though it may be the fact I have it so large) is that while watching movies if I change my focus from one end of the screen to the other you can see a RGB blur out of the corner of your eye. Not too...

This projector is excellent for the price. I work for Dish and work with alot of home theater systems, this projector is just as good as some of the $2000 projectors I've seen. Way better quaility than any rear projector tv I've seen. I've got mine...

Great Projector

Good Brand, Good Price and great overall projector

location to mount projector to ceiling was a little different then most others, so make sure the mounting bracket you buy will fit that specific model
