Marantz SR7005 3D Ready 7.1 A/V Networking Receiver First Look

The SR7005 is positioned to replace the SR7002 as the second from the top of the line flagship model yet to be announced. The SR7005 (MSRP: $1599) retails for $200 more than the SR7002 but lacks the THX Select2 certification of the latter. The new...

It seems that Marantz has addressed every criticism we offered in our SR6004 review and took their receiver line up to the next level with their latest xxxx5 series. We are looking forward to engaging a formal review of the SR7005 as we have high hopes...

Marantz Announces the Flagship SR7005 Receiver

You don't get a much cooler looking receiver than the Marantz SR7005.  When the front panel is closed, its full metal chassis has a wonderful minimalist aesthetic with only two ...

Marantz SR7005 A/V Receiver

It's not unusual for a Marantz A/V receiver to have a curved front panel, inspired by the company's high-end two-channel gear. But this one has an unusual twist found in no other AVR models (so far). Between the usual volume and source-select knobs is...

Marantz SR7005 Receiver Reviewed

Marantz is known for quality products and the SR7005 proved to be no exception. Our reviewer was "particularly impressed by how well the SR7005 did with surround sound."Overall, this receiver was considered "another leap forward" and sonically "one of...

Marantz has done a great job with the SR7005 receiver. In each of their latest line revisions they have improved the feature set and the SR7005 is yet another leap forward for them. Sonically it is one of the finest receivers I have had the pleasure...

Brilliant piece of kit, so well designe1d

Got it for a bargain! Blows my old Denon 2808 out of the water. Integrates really well with my Quad 21L speakers too.

Solid, looks, performance

Would be nice to have the audio format on the circular display as well, but that is a minor gripe

Nothing wrong, but fails to impress at its price point.

If your a marantz fan im sure you will still love and buy this product. It isnt a bad sounding and featured amp, but there are better value alternatives which will do just as good a job for a 30% cheaper investment.

Looks great, built in japan, updates a good package to the latest standards

Feels quite light and has the plastic / polymer resin front wings which cheapen the design ; Made in japan only seems to inflate the price and nothing else ; Music quality doesnt seem better than yamaha and denon alternatives

Everything I need

My first high end receiver was a Yamaha RX-V1. It gave me many years of trouble free enjoyment. My next receiver was an Onkyo TX-NR805. It lasted 18 months when the display went blank. This was a defect on many of the 805 models. After being fixed...

A good AVR but there are flaws

The SR7005 produces great sound and is easy to set up but to me there are flaws in this flagship. I greatly miss any wifi hookup - you must be hard wired to do upgrades or use the supplied apps. 2nd the porthole is a joke as the info is too small to...

Marantz SR7005

This is a great reciever with many features.I will start off by saying that im a audiophile and my first concern with any HT reciever is quality sonics using 2CH stereo and subwoofer. My prior reciever was a higly regarded Sony str da5es that I used...
