I would've felt better giving my $7.00 to the easter bunny. Go to walgreens and pick up something else.

Small, cheap, simple layout. Very sturdy though (after being thrown against a wall several times) it still works (well, at least when it comes to the things it seems to only work with).

Does not work with most of my accessories and refuses to learn signals.

Well, you get what you pay for, I had to buy this before when my good remote was accidentally thrown away, so I guess I am a little surprised that I even used it this long.

The remote is cheap and can be found at lots of stores, I purchased it at a CVS. The buttons are big and setup is as easy as they come.

The buttons don't provide the best tactile feel. The top buttons are awkward. After using the remote for about 7 months or so it just suddenly died completely. Even after putting in new batteries it would not work, not a single button.

My mother originally purchased this remote when the remote on her VCR mysteriously stopped working. It was only by trying to use this one that we realized that the problem was with the VCR itself and not the remote. (The VCR kept locking up, ...

Worth Every Penny Saved

Product that does what it's supposed to and does it great

This thing broke

I've had it for about two years and it broke. This thing was fun at first, making any button perform any fucnction. Such as, making the 6 button turn on an off the TV to goof around with friends when they were over. It was simple to use, but as with...

Reasonably priced, and it actually works.

Note: this review is for the "Philips Magnovox 8-Function Universal Learning Remote with TiVo and Replay Compatibility," model PMDVR8, not the PMDVD6. Epinions doesn't list the PMDVR8, only the PMDVD6, so I'm listing my review here. Hopefully the...

Controls up to 8 devices, including TiVo and ReplayTV. Near-complete replacement of old

A bit of a learning curve at the beginning. "Enter" button too small
