For this review our regular Menacing Thick Fluffy Blanket, or MTFB, has become the MTFC - Menacing Thick Flannel Cloth. Rather than using multiple layers of an exceptionally thick and fluffy blanket, the kind ideal for those romantic winter nights up...

Great Remote with high-end features

My main reason for buying this remote was that I have our TV's sound routed through an old Sherwood RX-4105 2-Channel 100-Watt Stereo Receiver to a separate set of speakers and I wanted my remote to control the sound as well as the TV, satellite...

Teachable buttons are easy to program, and the remote has many devices' codes already listed

Can't really think of any

Didn't work for me

Based on other reviews,it's probably a good item

I own an Olevia TV, good TV, lousy remote, bankrupt company. One reviewer said this remote worked with his Olevia. Not mine. Tried for 30 minutes without any luck. If anyone has any advice, I'd like to hear it. Otherwise, this was a waste of money for me

Good, inexpensive learning remote

It would be cool to have something with a screen that does more, but for the price I don't think this remote can be beat.

This remote is very inexpensive for a learning remote. I use it in place of 5 other remotes. It's reasonably easy to program. The macros are great. Does everything that I need it to. My wife likes it too

It needs a few more buttons that are generically labeled so you can program them for whatever function you want. It's nice, but not fancy

Excellent !!

I doubt you'll be disappointed. It is a pleasure to come across a product that doesn't let you down in any regard.

None of my devices worked perfectly when using the supplied codes, but after programing the device (which is EXTREMELY EASY) even the most obscure functions for my cd, dvd and tv work perfectly. Perfectly!! For the price bucks you can not go wrong. It...

Not back lit so you must navigate by touch in the darkness

It Commands My Gear

I dig this remote's official name "Remote Commander".

I opened the box and just entered the codes for my devices and the remote just works (for the most part)

Instructions are a bit arcane. For example the code for my DVR does not enable 100% functionality. I want to add a "swap" button to switch tuners but there are not instructions to be found. Perhaps it cannot be done

A steal at its price...

This remote is an absolute steal for the price Newegg has (and has had) it at ; Just as advertised, it can learn functions from other remotes. Here, I have it set up to control every function on my HDTV, every function on my receiver, and every...

Well, it doesn't have a screen on it, which is a problem, I suppose, if you're big into 64x64 pixel displays, GameBoy style

Great Remote!

Finally a one-for-all that really is! Unless the lack of a screen or backlighting is a dealbreaker, buy this remote!

Works with many Sony products out of the box, Easy to program and set up, Lightweight, First remote to work with ALL of my various remote controlled products. (Even my ceiling fan!)

No backlighting, could use a couple more special function buttons ; Layout, size and shape is not perfect, but usable
