NOT TOO BAD, BUT THERE ARE BETTER

I have had it for 2+ years now and it has served me well. My next purchase will be one with a hard disk - I recommend you do the same.

Easy to set up, twin scarts, digital and analogue sound out. Also easy to use and navigate through the menus.

It does lock up sometimes. I have not upgraded the firmware at all.

WORST EVER PURCHASE

I took my Nokia 221T back to Currys (when 11 months old) and they swopped it for free for a Sony box - amazing service. The Sony box is faster and has not needed a power on/off reset in the 5+ months of ownership.

When working - nice picture.

Locked up frequently (sometimes twice a day!) which meant a power off/on routine!. And - Yes I did add updated software via my pc, no better. The Forum guys on "Digital Spy" have given the Nokia 221T a (well deserved, in my opinion) roasting.

GOOD, BUT NOT PERFECT

A quality product with all the right connections.

Very east to set up with plenty of space around the twin SCART sockets. Provision of digital coaxial audio out is excellent. Menu's work well and the remote is a doddle to use.

Picture quality not as good as I would have expected. Build quality a bit "plasticky" especially the lift-up front flap to access the CAM slot for Top-up TV.

Good features and performance, ....when it works.

There appears to be much written praising the 221T, and it has won many awards. However I can only assume all the magazines used it only for a few hours before reaching their decision. I fell for all the hype and managed to buy one for £99, which seems...

Easy to set up, excellent reception, and navibar navigation is exceptionally intuitive to use. Good control over menus, formats and the user interface. A little large but otherwise recommended
